SUZUKI HAS RECALLED ALL 2012 THROUGH 2016 DL650 MOTORCYCLES FOR FAULTY CHARGING STATORS. RECALL 16V-878. SEE DESCRIPTION OF DEFECT. THE 2008 THROUGH 2011 SUZUKI DL650 MOTORCYCLES USE THE SAME CHARGING STATOR AS THE 2012 THROUGH 2016 MODELS AND HAVE EXPERIENCED A HIGH RATE OF FAILURES.. THE ALTERNATOR WAS CHANGED TO A CLAIMED 400 WATT OUTPUT MODEL BEGINNING WITH THE 2008 MODEL. MANY FAILURES, SOME MULTIPLE, HAVE BEEN REPORTED ON STROMTROOPER.COM. FOR THE 2008 TO 2011 MODELS. ONE POLL RESULT FROM STROMTROOPER.COM VIEW POLL RESULTS: PLEASE CHECK AS MANY ANSWERS AS APPLY TO YOU.
