TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 SUZUKI C90. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MOTORCYCLE HESITATED AND FAILED TO SHIFT GEARS AT LOW AND HIGH SPEEDS. THE GEAR SHIFT FRACTURED DUE TO THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT HAD TO REPLACE THE PART. IN ADDITION, THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED FOUR TIMES AND TAKEN TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES. THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO REPLICATE AND DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MOTORCYCLE WAS ALSO TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC THREE TIMES. THE MOTORCYCLE STALLED SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT WARNING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

THE MOTORCYCLE START-UP IS NOT CONSISTENT. MORE OFTEN THAN NOT THE MAIN HIGH BEAM LIGHT WOULD DIM INDICATING THAT THERE IS BATTERY, BUT IT DOES NOT START, AND WHEN THIS HAPPENS YOU CANNOT EVEN HEAR ANYTHING CLICKING. START-UP ON THE FIRST TRY IS LESS THAN 1% OF THE TIMES. INTERNET RESEARCH YIELDS RESULTS OF THIS ISSUE BEING COMMON AMONG MOTORCYCLES OF THIS YEAR AND MODEL YET THERE IS NO DOCUMENTED RECALL FROM THE SUZUKI. ACCORDING TO USER'S MANUAL EVERYTHING ON THIS BIKE IS PROPERLY CONNECTED AND FUNCTIONING AS IT IS THE CASE FOR MOST REPORTED ISSUES. AN INVESTIGATION IN THIS MATTER IS THE ONLY STEP MISSING IN FINDING OUT THE MYSTERY BEHIND THIS UNEXPLAINED MALFUNCTION THAT HAS LEFT ME STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN MORE THAN ONE OCCASION. *TR

THE CHARGING SYSTEM WAS NO LONGER CHARGING THE BATTERY OR SUPPLYING ELECTRICITY TO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. REPLACED STATOR AND VOLTAGE RECTIFIER/REGULATOR. OLD STATOR IS STILL AVAILABLE, THREW OUT THE R/R. REPLACED THE OEM STATOR WITH AN AFTER MARKED SWITCHING STATOR. *TR

I HAVE A SUZUKI MOTORCYCLE IT'S 2005 C-50 BOULEVARD NOT A C-90 AS THAT IS THE ONLY SELECTION IN THE NEXT MENU. THE SPEEDOMETER IS OFF BY 6-8 MILES AN HOUR IN THE PLUS SIDE SO WHEN I THINK I'M DOING 60 I'M DOING 53-54. I HAVE CHECKED THE SPEED WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE AND A GPS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT IS AN UNCORRECTABLE PROBLEM BY THE SUZUKI CORP. THEY CLAIM ALL THEIR BIKES ARE OFF 8-10% INTENTIONALLY FROM THE FACTORY. THIS I FEEL THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW AND IF NOT AT THE VARY LEAST A SAFETY HAZARD FOR THE RIDER AND TRAFFIC SINCE THE RIDER THINKS HE/SHE IS DOING THE SPEED LIMIT AND IN FACT IS NOT AND IN A STATE MI WHERE THE MINIMUM SPEED LIMIT IS 55 CAN GET FINED. *TR

THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 06V025000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE: STORAGE: TANK ASSEMBLY) AND IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN PROCRASTINATED WITH SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. ONE WEEK LATER, THE CONTACT NOTICED FUEL LEAKING FROM HIS VEHICLE, WHICH COULD POSSIBLY CAUSE A FIRE. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 11,000.
