THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STAY IN A STRAIGHT LINE. THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND LARGE BUBBLES ON THE FRONT DRIVER TIRE SIDEWALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL TIRE SPECIALIST WHO EXAMINED THE TIRE AND ADVISED THAT THE TIRE WAS DEFECTIVE. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 299,000.

SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH BAD GAS TANK ON SAAB 900, REPLACED 5 TANKS IN THE PAST 2 1/2 YEARS. *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE GAS TANK REPLACED FOR THE 6TH TIME. *JB
ORIGINAL GAS TANK HAD TO BE REPLACED ON OCTOBER 22, 2002. SINCE THEN CONSUMER HAD REPLACED THE GAS TANK 5 MORE TIMES.*AK
THE LOWER "A" ARM OF THE FRONT SUSPENSION HAS CRACKS IN IT. FRACTURE OF THE "A" ARM WOULD RESULT IN THE WHEEL TURNING AND LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE HEAD GASKET LEAKS AND THERE ARE NUMEROUS OTHER LEAKS IN THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION SEALS.

WHILE DRIVING AT 50 MPH THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED DUE TO CROSS BAR BEAM STRIKING SOMETHING IN THE ROAD. ACCORDING TO DEALER, THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED CORRECTLY, BUT THE OWNER BELIEVES THAT THE SENSOR IS DEFECTIVE. *ML

TWICE, AFTER GOING THROUGH A CAR WASH, THE SRS LIGHT CAME ON. BROUGHT IT TO DEALER WHO RESET IT, STATING THAT MOISTURE HAD GOTTEN INTO THE HARNESS SOMEWHERE. AFTER READING ABOUT THE RECALL FOR 92-94 9000 MODELS WITH A SIMILAR PROBLEM, I CALLED SAAB. SAAB TOLD ME I COULD HAVE THIS LOOKED AT OR FIXED BY THE DEALER AT MY COST. IS THIS RELATED AND WHAT SHOULD I DO.
CONSUMER WAS DRIVING 25 MPH WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE MAKING A LEFT TURN HIT THE CONSUMER ON HER LEFT FRONT SIDE, CAUSING THE AIR BAG TO DEPLOY, AND CONSUMER'S SHIRT CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO PUT OUT THE FIRE, BUT CONSUMER SUSTAINED SECOND DEGREE BURNS. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT CAME OUT, AND THEY FELT THE FIRE STARTED FROM THE AIR BAG. *AK
LACK OF HEAT IN THE VEHICLE DUE TO FAILURE IN MANUFACTURE WITH THE LACK OF A HOLE HAVING BEEN DRILLED IN THE BLOCK WHERE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AND WHICH PREVENTED PROPER AND SUSTAINED HEATING.

HEADLIGHT LENSES BECAME CLOUDY RESULTING IN DIMINISHED VISIBILITY.
LACK OF HEAT, TOOK ENGINE BLOCK APART SO IT COULD BE CLEANED UP, BECAUSE SUSPECTED VAPOR LOCK, DISCOVERED FAILURE IN MANUFACTURE WITH THE LACK OF CERTAIN HOLE HAVING BEEN DRILLED IN THE BLOCK WHERE SUPPOSED TO BE, WHICH PREVENTED PROPER AND SUSTAINED HEATING.
PIRELLI TIRES REPLACED DUE TO IRREGULAR WEAR/VIBRATION.
WHILE DRIVING THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED WITHOUT ANY WARNING. ONCE THE AIR BAG WAS DEPLOYED, IT LET OUT A BLACK SMOKE WHICH FILLED ENTIRE VEHICLE. *AK
