RR CARS HAVE A "BATTERY SWITCH" IN THE TRUNK BETWEEN THE BATTERY AND THE IGNITION SWITCH. THE PURPOSE IS TO ALLOW THE BATTERY TO BE DISCONNECTED IF THE CAR IS NOT TO BE USED FOR A LONG TIME. ONE DAY, AFTER PARKING THE CAR, THE SWITCH FAILED. THE CAR WOULD NOT START, AND THE WHEELS WOULD NOT REVOLVE. HAD THE SWITCH FAILED WHILE THE CAR WAS MOVING THE POTENTIAL FOR AN ACCIDENT IS ENORMOUS. THE DEALER TECHNICIAN REPORTED THE SWITCH FAILURE (IT ACTUALLY SEPARATEDINTO TWO PIECES) HAPPENS ON "SEVERAL" CARS. SEVERAL OUT OF MAX 2000 CARS IMPORTED INTO USA PER YEAR SEEMS TO BE A DEFECT TO ME. RR HEAD OFFICE DISAGREES AND WILL NOT EVEN COMPENSATE. *AK
