On 4/28/25 our 2024 Dodge Ram 2500 truck caught fire, It had 25,880 miles on it. we bought it brand new in 9/24. Flames were coming from the engine. The fire had to be extinguished with a fire extinguisher. The truck was towed to the local Dodge dealership. Miracle Chrysler After they looked at the truck we were told that fired was caused by a faulty heater grid. The truck has been sitting at the Dodge dealership since 4/28/25 to current. Originally we were told Stellantis would buy it back then they changed their minds and said no we will repair it. As of today they still have not started the repairs. I have invoice dated 1/8/26 that sates it will cost $55,277.23 just in parts to repair the damage that does not include the labor fees and they are not sure that is all the parts they will actually need. We have been making the payment on this truck the entire time is has been sitting there $1369.87 plus renting another truck for $641 a week from Enterprise. They are going to spend more

Vehicle was purchased new with 29 miles on the odometer in December 2025. The brakes on the truck do not begin to engage until the brake pedal is depressed greater than 50% of its travel. The initial feedback of the brake pedal within the first 50% of travel is numb with virtually no resistance. While driving the truck from the purchasing dealer in Warrenton, VA to Chicago, IL, I encountered several instanced during medium to heavy traffic where I expected the truck to stop, but the significant vagueness in the pedal turned a routine slow down situation into an emergency/panic stop. After putting ~600 miles on the truck, it has not gotten better and the truck is currently at a local dealership in the Chicagoland area. There are no warning lights on and, as of now, the dealership has had the truck for almost 2 2 weeks with no resolution currently available from the service department, nor the manufacturer.

After putting ~1200 miles on the truck, it has not gotten better. I am currently waiting to see the results of our other "twin" truck (XXX) that is currently at a local dealership in the [XXX] area. When the brakes are applied during normal driving the pedal travels 2-3 inches before the brakes start to apply. During a panic stop and a strong force on the pedal it will travel almost to the floor. ABS never applies except on loose surfaces, i. e., snow, gravel and sand. I have had the vehicle to the dealer on three different occasion's for this problem. The dealer and the service technicians said it was normal, as they all do this. they bleed the brakes and it was marginally better for about 200 miles of driving, then back to the same low feel. One of those occasions there was an ABS fault and they had to reset the ABS system. After they did the reset the brakes felt a little better for a short time then back marginal again. If you tap the pedal twice in rapid succession the pedal feel is normal, as compared to other vehicles, and at the top of the pedal travel. Although with sustained foot pressure on the pedal you can push it to the floor. Again the dealer says it's normal. I to
Exhaust filter clogged, engine auto regen not working automatically doing regen to clear soot, i spent $60,000 on this vehicle & seems like that kind of money shld offer a lifetime warranty, every visit to the dealership in Roanoke Va where i bought this truck brand new they didnt consider that i had warranty coverage & aftermarket coverage, they were telling me money was due regardless for repairs, i thought that was really lousy of them
Persistent SiriusXM advertising pop-ups appear on vehicle startup and obstruct normal infotainment operation. This creates driver distraction and requires interaction while driving.
[XXX] I stopped at a stoplight and was sitting with my foot on the brake. With light still red, vehicle went full throttle and began pushing me into the intersection even though my foot had never left the brake. I shifted to neutral and still redlined. Shifted to park and shut off. Restarted and it went back to normal. Luckily it was early morning and I was in a rural community and light traffic. Went home and called Ram dealership and took truck in that day. They kept it several days. Said was showing a code error; but I reiterated it pushed me into the intersection while I continued to pushed the brake to the floor. They did find an inconsistent reading in throttle and replaced the throttle body. I had hoped that corrected the problem and had no issue until [XXX]. [XXX] Left my farm in morning heading for Kansas City for supplies. Pulled onto shoulder of entrance ramp to doublecheck my route before entering the busy highway and rush hour traffic. As I was sitting there with my foot
Had to stop urgently, and my truck shut off. I had to shift it into park to get it started again. Was in the middle of a 4 lane section of route one traveling with traffic at the time. I was a sitting duck until I could figure out what happened. (Iâm a mechanic, if the average person was dealing with this I donât know if they would have been able to get moving as quickly.) It acted like the torque converter stayed locked while I came to a complete stop stopping the engine at the same time. No shuddering or anything obvious. Engine wasnât running when I came to a stop. i only noticed because it was abnormally quiet and didnât move when I stepped on the throttle. Iâve owned this truck since the end of July 2025, it was a brand new left over 2024, currently has around 8,500 miles on it)

The contact owns a 2024 Ram Promaster 2500. The contact stated that on several occasions, while parked or while driving at various speeds, the air bag and Forward Collision Avoidance warning lights intermittently illuminated. The contact stated that the message "SOS -Unavailable - Please Contact Dealer for Service" was displayed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer on several occasions for approximately a year, where it was diagnosed that the power steering gearbox and the radio needed to be repaired. Additionally, the wiring was taken apart and cleaned, and reattached after finding a wiring issue. The vehicle was repaired each time, but the failure reoccurred after each repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a complaint was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 45.

October 30, at approximately 8:00 AM MDT. While I was heading to work, I was approaching an intersection with a vehicle in front of me making a left turn in the opposite direction was a vehicle also preparing to make a left turn and as I approached the intersection the vehicle turned in front of me. I fully applied the brakes, and the pedal went to the floor, my truck did not stop or slow down. I ended up striking the vehicle turning in front of me, fortunately at a low speed of approximately 11-12 miles per hour. My vehicle coasted to a stop after which I was able to carefully pull off to the side of the road. My truck was deemed drivable at the time after the accident but I noticed that the pedal is spongy and it took pumping the brakes to get them to apply. I almost had another accident around 10:30 AM, when coming to a stop behind several other vehicles. Again I applied the brakes and they went to the floor. The truck very slowly came to a stop, finally stopping 5 feet from the re

While driving my Ram 2500 completely shut off just like I had hit the engine stop button. Luckily, I was traveling at a low speed at the time, so I was able to coast to a complete stop, put the truck in park on the side of the road. I was then able to restart the vehicle and resume driving without any more issues.

The truck is currently exhibiting a loud metal tapping/ slapping/ ticking noise when driving from the engine. It is loud enough it can be heard over road/ wind noise, it can also be heard in high idle situations. The truck has been to the dealer where it was purchased and they refused to research the issue because of a current RAM service bulletin that the noise is âunder investigationâ. It has 6,000 miles and the noise started immediately after the first oil change.
Twice, the seatbelt recoil mechanism has failed. Not only will the seatbelt not self retract, potentially leaving a considerable amount of slack in the seatbelt, but also the seatbelt does not stop when it is pulled quickly, meaning that it doesn't actually do anything in the case of an accident. The original seatbelt on this vehicle did the same thing, and after I had it replaced, the replacement does the same thing, indicating that it is clearly a faulty component at a scale larger than an individual faulty piece.
