Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2015 1500 is engine with 327 filings, followed by steering (322) and power train (220). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 18 active recall campaigns, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.
NHTSA currently has 1 investigation file overlapping the 2015 1500, and 1 remain open. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 MPH, the vehicle started shaking and lost motive power. The ETC warning light illuminated, and the message "Service Electronic Throttle Control" was displayed. The vehicle was stopped in a safe location and inspected. The vehicle was turned off and restarted, but it was difficult while cranking over. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the tone wheel had delaminated and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact associated the failures with NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V475000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.

Code P200A and P2D2D showed up, linking to an intake manifold issue. After researching, shows connected to Recall VB1. After speaking with FCA Recall department, they said that the recall was completed. To my knowledge, the vehicle is having the same related issues as the state previous to the recall. FCA will not initiate another recall on my vehicle to resolve the issue the VB1 recall was supposed to address.
My electric power stear started to go in and out as I was driving. It got very hard to stear and as I was trying to turn would cone back on causing me to drive off the road into a ditch. Now dose not work at all
I have a 2015 Ram 1500, my experience is not unique and this issue is well known online. The ABS module (Part No: 68228991AD) is no longer working and my truck has been having an issue with this for about 3 years. The Parts departments in dealerships will typically say that the manufacturer is "looking" for a new contract parts supplier and say that a certain date is upcoming, but it always gets pushed further into the future. I have been without ABS for a long time for this reason. Since I have moved around, I have been unable to stick with a certain parts department for an extended period of time, but I have had this part on order with the current dealership near me for over 5 months, with no status update other than its on order. This seems like a large safety issue to me and I would like the regulator to do something about this.

ABS MODULE FAILED. MECHANIC TELLS ME THAT THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENT PARTS AVAILABLE. A USED PART MAY BE NECESSARY AND WOULD HAVE TO BE REPROGRAMMED TO MY VEHICLE AT ADDED EXPENSE. LOOKS TO ME THAT THERE ARE SO MANY RAM TRUCKS EXPERIENCING THIS SAME ISSUE AND SOME HAVE RECALLS, BUT 2015 MODEL I OWN IS NOT COVERED. WHY? HOW CAN THIS BE ALLOWED? PARTNO LONGER MADE? THAT IS UNBELIEVABLE. WE RAM OWNERS NEED HELP FROM NHTSA. HELP US PLEASE. IM A RETIRED MAN WHO NEEDS HIS VEHICLE.
Power steering became stiff and eventually quit. After driving to destination steering returned to very stiff condition. Risk safety involved a 20 mile curvy 2 lane road. I do not feel safe continuing to drive this vehicle.
Driving down the road and the steering wheel light came on and I slowed down and tried to turn and it was locked in position and had to have it towed. Now I'm stuck with no vehicle as mine is about 3 hours away from home. Waiting on parts to come in.
Stellantis has a recall for Loss of Crankshaft Position, Reference: 66A / NHTSA 23V-411. They did not include my truck in the recall but I have the exact same problem as verified by the dealer. The Recall Center will not answer the phone and reports errors when I call. The warranty center will not deal with this as it's a recall issue. The cost to repair all the parts is $8,745.75 without any coverage or recall support. The recall remedy was to flash the computer which would be a minimal cost but the dealer cannot do this unless my vehicle is added to the recall. The vehicle is in "limp mode" and is not safe for use while this issue persists. The problem became evident while starting the vehicle in the driveway.
ABS module failed and showed the warning lights. It happened ? years ago and I took it to dealership but still can not get the part to have repaired. This has affected the anti lock brakes, traction control and disables the cruise control. I have lost control coming to a stop light during a rain but luckily didn't hit anything during the slide. Hard to believe that they don't have a fix for this yet!
The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the vehicle was serviced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V475000 (Engine and Engine Cooling), but the failure occurred. While driving 65 MPH, the vehicle jerked and started pulling, and the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal, before the vehicle stalled. The check engine and the Electronic Throttle Control warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was able to coast to the side of the road. The vehicle was restarted after several attempts. The contact stated that while driving to the residence, the vehicle went into LIMP Mode. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the tone wheel had failed. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The failure was a recurring failure, and the contact parked the vehicle due to the safety concerns. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 51,000.

After few hours of research I found a part number to order replacement fuel filter required for use from Recall 22v-406. After passed onto by FCA and reaching out to Mopar who passed me onto local dealer and research on various forums I found a part number 68632011AA for the fuel filter so I thought. I contacted dealer and was told no filter is available and no date when it will be available, so back to research to find part number CSSMZ462AA-001 in the recall listed, I tried to order online but was told to contact local dealer and they confirmed the number good and placed order. I received the part today to find filter and housing cap. the filter resembles previous filters used but does not have any MOPAR stamp on it says made in China but box is labeled MOPAR and says made in Korea. the date on box is 12/15/2023. Is an aftermarket filter being packaged as OEM filter for a recall?
Manifold bolts have been replaced 2 times. I am now experiencing a 3rd time, and can smell fumes in side of vehicle.
Good Moring. I have a 2015 and seems to be an on going problem with these years not. The ABS Module fails, turning off the ABS, trailer brakes, cruise control and lights on the dash. The other problem is you can not find any new modulars. the ABS block corrodes causing this part to fail. If you find a used one you can not program it to the vehicle. With this being a safety hazard and Dodge not having the part available I believe this should be a recall. The truck has a blue book of about 20k but with this part failing not only can I not do emissions due to the lights on the dash but it deems the vehicle worthless. From 2009 and 2016 ram redesign there litters. I am now getting the lifter and loosing freeway speed. This issue should be a safety problem .mine ram is a 2015.
After having recall 22v-406 completed on November 24,2024 I am nearing time to complete a fuel filter change which after having this recall completed specifies a particular part number requirement and this fuel filter pn 68632011AA is not available anywhere, so now I am at risk for my filter getting clogged and my vehicle stalling and if a gas station gets gasoline put in the diesel tank and it gets put in my truck I cannot use my truck until the systems is drained, clean and filter replaced. Call any MOPAR dealer and ask for that part number and they will tell you not available and no timeline for it to be available.
The power steering was intermittently not working at slower speeds. This went on for 4 months. Now the power steering has completely stopped working which happened while driving making it extremely difficult to control.
My 2015 Ram 1500, Electronic Power Steering stopped working while driving on a two lane road putting myself and others in serious danger, the wheel abruptly became difficult to turn and maneuver the car, causing me to drift onto the shoulder. The car had to be towed as it was unsafe to drive, and once diagnosed by a mechanic the whole unit has to be replaced as they are not serviceable.
Component or system that failed or malfunctioned: The vehicleâs airbag restraint system failed to deploy during a severe single-vehicle crash. This includes the front airbags and any associated crash sensors. The vehicle is currently available for inspection upon request. How safety was put at risk: The failure of the airbag system significantly increased the risk of serious injury. Due to the airbags not deploying during a high-impact collision with a fixed object (tree), the driver sustained a serious head injury. Proper airbag deployment could have reduced or prevented the severity of the injury. Confirmation or reproduction of the problem: At this time, the issue has not yet been reproduced or formally confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. Investigation is pending.
