Within seconds, the Forward Collision Avoidance: Automatic Emergency Braking briefly applied the brakes, jolting the vehicle slightly but not bringing it to a complete stop. Afterward, the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The Forward Collision Avoidance warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the Adaptive Cruise Control radar sensor. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred.
