I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET IN MY 1991 PORSCHE CARRERA 2 AT APPROXIMATELY 10-15 MPH WHEN THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG SPONTANEOUSLY DEPLOYED, SEVERELY BRUISING MY CHEST, HURTING MY NECK, AND BURNING MY LEGS WITH SOME SORT OF A BURNING CHEMICAL. I REPORTED IT TO PORSCHE WHO EVENTUALLY CAME AND GOT THE CAR, KEPT IT FOR 4-5 MONTHS, AND CLAIMED TO HAVE REPLACED SOME COMPONENTS OF THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. THEY REFUSED TO SHARE WITH ME WHAT HAPPENED TO CAUSE THIS. THE CAR WAS RETURNED TO ME, AND IT WAS STORED ALL WINTER UNTIL MAY 2009 WHEN I BEGAN DRIVING IT FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE THE INCIDENT. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 150 MILES LATER, THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND I CALLED PORSCHE WHO NOW REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING. I LIVE OVER 5 HOURS FROM THE NEAREST DEALER AND I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR TO THE DEALER TO BE LOOKED AT. I ALSO FEEL SINCE THEY SUPPOSEDLY REPLACED THE SYSTEM, THE WARNING LIGHT BEING ON IS RELATED TO WHATEVER THEY DID. I AM AFRAID THIS AIRBAG EXPLOSION IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME AGAI
