GRAND PRIX REAR ENDED A SEMI TRAILER. IT APPEARED TO HAVE A DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG. NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED IN THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS SIGNIFICANT INTRUSION INTO THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT. I SEEMED THE INJURIES COULD HAVE BEEN LESS HAD AN AIR BAG DEPLOYED. UNSURE OF FACTORS LEADING TO NON DEPLOYMENT. IT BURNED MY FACE, HANDS AND MY ARMS. I WAS TAKEN TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AND DIAGNOSED WITH MULTIPLE FIRST DEGREE BURNS. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAD HAPPENED. EXTERIOR LIGHTING/TAIL LIGHTS - THERE IS MOISTURE BUILD-UP AND HEAVY CONDENSATION IN BOTH TAIL LIGHTS, AGAIN . I'VE ALREADY HAD THE TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY REPLACED TWICE ON BOTH SIDES, AND HAVE TO PAY FOR IT AGAIN. THE COST FOR JUST ONE (1) TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY IS IN EXCESS OF $250.00. ALTHOUGH THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM WHICH MANY, MANY PEOPLE HAVE EXPERIENCED ON THIS MAKE AND MODEL CAR, THERE'S NO RECALL. THERE'S DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE WITH THIS PROBLEM DURING THE DAY
THE REAR AXLE OF THIS FRONT WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE BROKE DURING A LOW SPEED CURVE. THIS CAUSED THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL TO GO SAILING OFF AND CAUSED THE DRIVER INITIALLY TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR. NO ONCOMING TRAFFIC WAS INVOLVED. THE CAR DID HIT THE CURB BLOWING THE FRONT TIRE AND THEN HIT A TRAFFIC SIGN. THE INSURANCE COMMPANY TOTALLED THE CAR. THE MANUFACTURER WILL NOT DEAL WITH ME.*AK

I HAD SUBMITTED A COMPLAINT ABOUT A WEEK AGO BUT I TYPED IN THE WRONG VIN#. I WAS A PASSENGER IN THIS VEHICLE WHEN A VAN FAILED TO YIELD & T-BONED US. I WAS WEARING MY SEATBELT BUT UNFORTUNATELY IT DID NOT WORK & I HIT THE WINDSHIELD. MY AIRBAG DID DEPLOY BUT I'M NOT SURE IF IT EVEN DEPLOYED PROPERLY. IF ONE OF THEM WOULD OF WORKED CORRECTLY I FIGURE I WOULD OF NOT HIT THE WINDSHIELD. I HAVE MULTIPLE INJURIES SUCH AS LOST A TOOTH, TMJ, DISLOCATED JAW, CERVICAL FACET SYNDROME, CERVICAL RADIO
I WAS THE RETRAINED PASSENGER IN MY VECHILE ON 5/5/99. WE WERE T-BONED BY A VAN. THE AIR BAG DID DEPLOY BUT MY SEATBELT FAILED CAUSING ME TO HIT THE WINDSHIELD. I SUSTAINED NUMEROUSE INJURIES. I CURRENTLY HAVE TMJ, CERVICAL RADICULOPATHY, LOST A TOOTH, HEADACHES, ETC ETC. I FEEL THE SEATBELT & THE AIR BAG SHOULD OF HELD ME BACK. IF THEY WOULD OF WORKED I WOULD OF NOT HIT THE WINDSHIELD.
ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION, AIRBAG EXPERIENCED NO DEPLOYMENT DURING RATHER SUFFICANT IMPACT. HOWEVER, ON ONE INCIDENT NOT ONLY DID THE AIRBAG EXPERIENCE NO DEPLOYMENT, BUT THREE OF THE FOUR RETRACTABLE FRAME PINS COLLAPSED, AND THE DRIVER'S SEAT BROKE (FELL BACKWARDS), CAUSING FAILURE. *YC

HOWEVER, ON ONE INCIDENT NOT ONLY DID THE AIRBAG EXPERIENCE NO DEPLOYMENT, BUT THREE OF THE FOUR RETRACTABLE FRAME PINS COLLAPSED, AND THE DRIVER'S SEAT BROKE (FELL BACKWARDS), CAUSING FAILURE. *YC
