TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1994 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME. WHILE TURNING THE IGNITION TO START THE VEHICLE, THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG SPONTANEOUSLY DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES TO HER NOSE FROM THE DEPLOYMENT. SHE HAS PICTURES OF THE VEHICLE AFTER THE FAILURE, AND IS IN THE PROCESS OF NOTIFYING THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER. ABS IS ACTIVATED ON DRY PAVEMENT FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON, CAR IS DIFFICULT TO STOP AT TIMES, AND STOPPING DISTANCES ARE LONGER. SEVERAL DEALERS HAVE LOOKED AT PROBLEM, TWO DON'T KNOW, AND SAID THEY COULD DO INVESTIGATIVE REPAIRS THAT COULD EASILY AMOUNT TO OVER $2500, THE OTHER DEALER SAID THAT IF MY "CHECK ENGINE" DOESN'T COME ON THEN THEY CAN'T HELP ME!! THE CAR IS A HAZARD TO DRIVE AND SHOULDN'T BE ON THE ROAD LEFT UNREPAIRED. BECAUSE OF THE ABS MALFUNCTIONING, I DID HIT A STATIONARY OBJE
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURE CAUSING BURNING OF PLASTIC AROUND FENDER, BURNT CARPET INSIDE THE CARE, BEHIND CENTER CONSOLE AND WIRING BEHIND ENGINE COMPARTMENT. BURNING WIRES RESULTED IN FIRE. REASON UNKNOWN.
THE DEFECTIVE WIRE BEHIND THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT WHICH CONTROLS THE POWER WINDOWS AND DOORS CAUGHT ON FIRE, LOCKING IN THE OCCUPANT IN THE VEHICLE. OCCUPANT HAD TO BREAK THE WINDOW IN ORDER TO GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE. *AK
WHILE COMING OUT OF A DRIVE THROUGH AT THE BANK, THE MOTOR BEGAN TO RACE, BRAKES WOULD NOT RESPOND AND CONSUMER ENDED UP INTO A CEMENT WALL. CONSUMER WAS SLIGHTLY INJURED. *AK
IN DRY WEATHER VEHICLE WAS CUT OFF BY TRUCK HAS ABS BRAKES WHICH FAILED TO OPERATE PROPERLY, DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DIDN'T DEPLOY . *AK
DURING FRONTAL IMPACT, THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE SEAT BELT RELEASED FROM THE BELT BUCKLE WITHOUT ANY REASON. *AK
NO DEPLOYMENT OF DRIVER'S AIR BAG DURING AN ACCIDENT; HIT ANOTHER CAR IN THE FRONT OF DRIVER'S SIDE AND CAUSED THE CAR TO FLIP OVER 3 TIMES, DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES. *AK
