THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE FROM THE GAS TANK. I HAD DRIVEN THE CAR PUT GAS IN THE CAR PARKED THE CAR AND IT CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE FIRE MEN SAID THE FIRE STARTED FROM THE GAS SYSTEM.. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN PRIVATE PARKING LOT RUNNING.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 OLDSMOBILE AURORA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 25-30 MPH, THE RACK AND PINION FRACTURED, CAUSING THE CONTACT TO LOSE CONTROL OF STEERING CAPABILITIES. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A DITCH. SHE WAS NOT INJURED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 186,000.

OUR 2001 OLDSMOBILE AURORA WAS BROUGHT IN SEVERAL TIMES IN THE LAST TWO MONTHS BECAUSE THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT KEPT GOING ON. EACH TIME THEY SAID THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM AND IT WAS RELATED TO THE "SECONDARY AIR INJECTION PUMP". TWO NIGHTS AGO WE CAME HOME AND PARKED OUR CAR IN OUR GARAGE, WHICH IS ATTACHED TO OUR HOUSE. A COUPLE HOURS LATER WE WERE AWOKE BY A SMELL, WHICH FINALLY LED US TO OUR GARAGE. WE OPENED THE DOOR TO OUR GARAGE AND IT WAS FULL OF SMOKE! WE HEARD A HUMMING NOISE COMING

DT: CONTACT'S WIFE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. WHILE SHE WAS PULLING OUT FROM A STOP LIGHT/SIGN AN ONCOMING VEHICLE STRUCK HER VEHICLE FROM THE SIDE. UPON IMPACT, THE FRONT AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN INSPECTED TO DETERMINE WHY THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. DID NOT KNOW IF THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A PREVIOUS ACCIDENT. *AK
