CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO DEFECTIVE SENSOR LIGHT PROBLEMS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED HE SPENT HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS, EVEN THOUSANDS TO TRY AND FIX THE PROBLEM, BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE DEFECTIVE SENSOR LIGHT, CAUSED HIM TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT IN DECEMBER 2012. THE ENGINE LIGHT, HAS BEEN ON FOR FIVE YEARS.

I WAS DRIIVING ON I-70 IN PA AT APPROXIMATELY 60-65 MPH WHEN THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG EXPLODED. I CONTROLLED THE CAR AND PULLED OVER, CONTACTED THE STATE POLICE AND A REPORT WAS FILED. ABOUT 40 MILES FURTHER DOWN THE INTERSTATE, THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG EXPLODED SHATTERING 2/3 OF THE WINDSHIELD. AGAIN I PULLED OVER AND WE GOT OUT OF THE CAR. I WAS ABLE TO DROVE TO OUR MOTEL IN DC. I HAVE CONTACTED OLDSMOBILE AND THEY HAD MY CAR INSPECTED ON 7-9-02. I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE CONTACTED IN 1 TO 2
WEATHER CLEAR, PAYMENT DRY AS I SLOWED FOR A RED TRAFFIC SIGNAL. I WAS COASTING UP BEHIND THE TWO STOPPED CARS AHEAD OF ME, BRAKING AND NOT GOING OVER 5 TO 7 MPH. SUDDENLY, WITHOUT WARNING, BOTH FRONT AIR BAGS SIMULTANEOUSLY EXPLODED. *AK
WHILE STARTING THE VEHICLE UP, A FIRE BROKE OUT IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. CAUSE UNKNOWN. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. NO PRIOR PROBLEMS. *AK

CONSUMER STATES THAT HER OWNER'S MANUAL STATES IF YOU CAN WALK AWAY FROM YOUR VEHICLE WITH THE ENGINE KEY IN YOUR HAND YOUR VEHICLE IS IN PARK , THIS IS NOT TRUE BECAUSE KEY WAS TAKEN OUT OF IGNITION AND GEAR WAS NOT IN PARK AND VEHICLE HIT A TREE.*AK STEERING COLUM WAS RECONNECTED TO SHIFTER CABLE TO IGNITION SWITCH.*JB
UPON IMPACT, DURING FRONTAL CRASH, AT APPROX. 50MPH, 12:00 ON FRONT BUMPER, DUAL AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY, RESULTING IN BOTH DRIVER AND BACK SEAT PASSENGER BEING KILLED ANF FOUR OTHERS INJURED IN ACCIDENT. *AK
