Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 1 active recall campaign, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.
NHTSA currently has 2 investigation files overlapping the 2022 ROGUE SPORT, and 1 remain open. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. Event Description - Car began veering off the road to the left - Driver attempted to correct the unintended maneuver, but the car increased in speed, despite braking - The car then lost all steering and braking capability, - In an attempt to control/stop the car, it instead proceeded uncontrollably performing a doughnut on the roadside embankment, and another doughnut that landed the vehicle back on the road, horizontally against oncoming traffic - The vehicle was then put in park, but the gear indicator, indicated that the car was still in drive - With foot on brake, the gear stick was shifted to the âdriveâ position, but the car went in reverse instead of forward - The vehicle was then completely turned off, and restarted. At that point, the vehicle proceeded as usual. - Vehicle was then driven to a safe location.

I was driving 70 mi./ an hour and then all of a sudden the car jerked very hard. The car behind me had to hurry up and move from behind me because he saw my car had come coming to a complete stop at 25 to 35 miles an hour. A show that I had a crash and then I tried to accelerate to go pick up the speed and I couldnât go no more than 45 miles was very scary donât want driver car like that havenât had the car a month and Iâm having issues with something Iâm paying for that shouldnât be happening

1) The passenger door on the drivers side will not open and the drivers side window also is faulty. 2) it is a safety hazard to have car doors that won't open, as it can prevent emergency exit, and it can also create a danger to other road users. If a door is stuck closed during a crash, it could prevent a person from getting out, which is particularly dangerous if the car catches fire. a faulty car window regulator is a safety hazard, especially in Florida, because it can prevent you from opening the window in an emergency, compromise security by not closing properly, and expose the interior to the elements. A faulty regulator can lead to a window being stuck, falling into the door, or not closing completely, all of which create potential risks 3) The dealer has confirmed this issue with this make and model of vehicle and have fixed the same issues when they were under warranty but refuse to handle said issue now that the warranty being up. It is a three year old car I bought new 4)
Rear drivers side window spontaneously exploded while driving approx 50 mph. Very loud noise, no injuries to report. Vehicle is available for inspection, and is scheduled for repair on 6/16/2025.
The engine cuts off on me. It takes a long time to get up to speed. The engine is burning oil. There is no oil on the ground and no leaks present. Smoke comes out of the rear pipes when I start the car. Again there are no oil leaks present but the oil is burning out every 5-7 days.
Several problems have shown up since purchasing this car in December of last year. The back window has rolled down on it's own about 6 times within the same week I purchased the car. The head unit in the vehicle had to be reset by the dealer when they first traded the car in, according to service history and it's still having problems. I can hear the other caller on phone calls intermittently but they can't hear me. My phone has briefly disconnected from the Bluetooth system saying it couldn't be found. I thought it might be a phone issue but I got another phone and it still does it. I have a video of the head unit being completely unresponsive. The music was playing but none of the buttons were doing anything when I pushed them and the map was all that it would show. I've also had issues with burning smells when using the heated steering wheel and heated seats. I believe there is an electrical problem causing all of this but since the dealer can't duplicate the problem when I've drive

There is a strong smell of gas in the cabin. It started intermittently a couple of months ago and is getting worse. Basically every time I drive.
Driving at approximately 45 mph when emergency braking system activated when there was nothing in front of my vehicle. Fortunately no cars were following me, otherwise I likely would have been rear ended.
