WHILE PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY CONSUMER MADE AN ATTEMPT TO START THE VEHICLE. CONSUMER HEARD SEVERAL CLICKS COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. AFTER TWO UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPTS TO START, IT STARTED ON THE THIRD ATTEMPT. BEFORE THE VEHICLE COULD BE PUT IN GEAR CONSUMER SAW SMOKE COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO REMOVE PASSENGERS FROM VEHICLE BEFORE THE ENTIRE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS CONSUMED BY FIRE. FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE, BUT WAS UNABLE TO PINPOINT THE C

WHEN THE CONSUMER TRIED TO AVOID HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE HIT A STREET DIVIDER AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. *JB
ATTORNEY IS WRITING ON BEHALF CLIENT WHO WAS INVOLVED IN A SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY PRECIPITATED BY A DEFECTIVE TAKATA SEAT BELT IN A 2000 MITSUBISHI MIRAGE HE RENTED FROM ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR. THE BUCKLE LOCKED SHUT, MAKING THE SEAT BELT UNUSABLE. HOWEVER, THE POLICE REPORT STATED THAT THE DRIVER WAS NOT WEARING A SEAT BELT. DRIVER SUSTAINED SERIOUS HEAD WOUNDS, AND THERE WAS HEAVY DAMAGE TO THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. *TT
