I WAS DRIVING 55 TO 60 MPH, THEN LET OFF THE GAS TO TAKE MY EXIT AND WAS DOWN TO ABOUT 20 MPH WHEN MY BRAKES FAILED, AND I COULDN'T STOP AT THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE RAMP. THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, SO I PUMPED THEM 2 OR 3 TIMES AND AS I WAS LETTING OFF THE BREAK, IT STARTED WHISTLING. IT SOUNDED LIKE A CROSS BETWEEN AN ACCORDION AND AN ASTHMATIC EPISODE. I WAS ALREADY CLOSE TO SCHOOL, SO I DROVE TO THE PARKING LOT AND PARKED. THE ONLY WAY I COULD SLOW DOWN AND STOP WAS TO CONTINUOUSLY PUMP THE BREAKS. I WASN'T HAVING NOR EVER HAD ISSUES WITH MY BREAKS BEFORE THAT DAY.

I WAS GETTING TO A RED LIGHT TO MAKE A LEFT TURN. CARS WERE COMING SO I PRESSED THE BRAKES TO STOP AND LET THEM PASS. THE BRAKES STARTED TO CATCH THEN WENT TO THE FLOOR AND THE CAR DIDN'T STOP. I SLAMMED THE GAS TO TURN IN FRONT OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC TO AVOID HITTING THE CAR WAITING TO TURN IN THE LANE IN FRONT OF ME. I UNDERSTAND THERE IS A LONG LINE OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE THIS SAME MODEL AND YEAR CAR AS ME, HAVE BEEN THROUGH THIS SAME ISSUE AND THERE IS NO RECALL.
