VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AND CAUGHT FIRE UNDER THE HOOD. A FIRE EXTINGUISHER PUT IT OUT BUT I COULD SEE DAMAGED PARTS. I DROVE THE CAR TO FLOW MINI IN RALEIGH AND DROPPED IT OFF FOR REPAIRS. I WAS NOTIFIED THAT THE AUXILLERY WATER PUMP HAD SHORTED OUT THEN OVER HEATED AND CAUGHT ON FIRE. I GOOGLED MY VEHICLE NUMBER AND SAW RECALLS FOR CERTAIN MINIS. MINE FALLS INTO THE CATEGORY AND WAS NEVER CONTACTED ABOUT THIS BEING A FIRE HAZARD. WIFE WILL NOT DRIVE THE CAR ANY MORE.
