TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 MERCURY MARQUIS. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL IN SEPTEMBER OF 2007. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PARTS FOR THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE DEALER DISCONNECTED THE CRUISE CONTROL UNTIL THEY RECEIVE THE PARTS. SINCE THE TIME THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS DISCONNECTED, THE CONTACT HAS RECEIVED TWO SPEEDING TICKETS. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. THE RECALL NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 93,000. UPDATED 02-19-08 *BF UPDATED 02/19/08 *TR
CONSUMER STATES THAT THE METAL BRAKE LINES RUSTED IN HALF WHILE THE CONSUMER WAS DRIVING. CONTACTED DEALER PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. MR REFERENCED IN RQ03-004
