Called Walker Ford in Clearwater, FL on 12/27/2025 at 09:35 am. I reported to them that two recalls that would pertain to my car, 13S08 and 13R01 needed to be performed as my steering bearing retainer has failed. They informed me it was repaired, but it has failed again. According to my research, regardless if its been performed or not, Ford is still liable to fix it again. A possible loss of steering could result in death or injury if not addressed. My contact info is [XXX] Thanks! SMELLED GAS WHEN EXITING THE VEHICLE. CONFIRMED A FUEL LEAK IN THE FUEL TANK BY OBSERVING A FUEL DRIP. CONTINUED DRIVING THE CAR FOR A FEW DAYS. ON JUNE 15, 2020, I NOTICED A STRANGE NOISE AS I DROVE, SOMETHING RUBBING OR BUMPING ON THE FRAME UNDER THE CAR. WHILE DRIVING, THE NOISE INCREASED AND INTENSIFIED. I WAS FORCED TO PULL OVER AND CHECK UNDER THE CAR. TO MY HORROR I SAW THE GAS TANK DRAGGING ON THE ROAD. A TOW TRUCK WOULD NOT TOW THE VEHICLE. MY BROTHER AND I TIED THE TANK UP UNDER THE CAR USING A NYLON STRAP TO GET THE CAR HOME. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO FIX THE CAR. I NOW HAVE AN AFTERMARKET TANK ON MY CAR. FORD DOES NOT MAKE THE TANK ANYMORE.THE CAR WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET WHEN THE TANK FELL. I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY A FUEL TANK STRAP FAILURE. THE CAR LEAPED FORWARD AND I IMMEDIATELY APPLIED THE BRAKE. I REALLY HAD TO PUSH THE BRAKE AS HARD AS I COULD TO GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP. WHEN I GOT THE VEHICLE TO STOP I KNOCKED THE GEAR SHIFT OUT OF DRIVE INTO NEUTRAL. THE ENGINE WAS IDLING REALLY ROUGH BUT THEN IT SMOOTHED OUT. I DID NOT CRASH THE CAR AND CONTINUED DRIVING WITH NO FURTHER PROBLEMS. THE VEHICLE HAS 64,875 MILES ON IT AND THIS IS THE FIRST THIS HAS HAPPENED.
