TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MERCEDES-BENZ SL600. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN REVERSE, THE ABS AND ESP WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AND THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ONE OTHER TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS CATASTROPHIC BRAKE FAILURE AND THE SBC UNIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
