TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MERCEDES-BENZ S63. WHILE DRIVING, THE CONTACT NOTICED A STRONG ODOR OF FUEL IN AND AROUND THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND NOTICED THAT FUEL WAS LEAKING FROM UNDERNEATH THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PLAZA MERCEDES-BENZ (LOCATED AT 11910 OLIVE BLVD, CREVE COEUR, MO 63141, (314) 266-5469) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A CRACK IN THE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY AND IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
