Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 GLE 300d 4MATIC, GLE 350, GLE 350 4MATIC, and GLE 400 4MATIC vehicles manufactured October 14, 2015, to November 23, 2015. The low beam headlights on the affected vehicles may not be properly adjusted. As such, these vehicles
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE300D. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED AND LOST POWER WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND RESTARTED AFTER APPROXIMATELY 50 SECONDS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED TO TOW THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AT A DISCOUNTED RATE. THE CONTACT CALLED MERCEDES-BENZ OF FORT WASHINGTON AT 215-646-7700 (LOCATED AT 404 PENNSYLVANIA AVE, FORT WASHINGTON, PA 19034) WHO IN TURNED CALLED MERCEDES-BENZ OF ATLANTIC CITY AT 609-645-9000 (LOCATED AT 6623 E BLACK HORSE PIKE, EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ 08234) TO TOW THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS AWAITING DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 5,000.
