The contact owns a 2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT-R. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 21V478000 (Power Train) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there were abnormal sounds while shifting gear. The dealer was made aware of the failure and scheduled an appointment for diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that parts were not yet available. The failure mileage was 3,200.
