The contact owns a 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was excessive noise coming from the sunroof. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V197000 (Structure) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was contacted but no further assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FROM MERCEDES-BENZ IN FEBRUARY 2019 FOR THE PASSENGER-SIDE AIRBAG (SEE ATTACHED COPY). IT STATES THAT "A PASSENGER-SIDE INFLATOR EXPLOSION DURING DEPLOYMENT COULD RESULT IN SHARP METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING THE FRONT PASSENGER OR OTHER OCCUPANTS, POSSIBLY CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH." OVER THE LAST 20 MONTHS, I HAVE TRIED AT LEAST SIX TIMES TO HAVE THIS ISSUE FIXED BY MY DEALER MERCEDES-BENZ OF GREENWICH, 261 WEST PUTNAM AVE, GREENWICH, CT 06830. EACH TIME THE DEALER SAID THAT THEY DON'T HAVE THIS PART.
