THE HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM AND DO NOT REFLECT ENOUGH LIGHT. AFTER MY MOTHER COULD NOT SEE THE ROAD AND RAN OFF AND HAD AN ACCIDENT I INSTALLED HID BULBS BUT STILL THE SAME PROBLEM DUE TO THE HOUSING GIVING VERY LITTLE REFLECTION OUT TO THE ROAD.

DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A REAR END COLLISION, AND UPON IMPACT AT 45 MPH, THE REAR FACING CHILD SAFETY SEAT DETACHED FROM THE BASE WITH THE INFANT RESTRAINED INSIDE WITHOUT WARNING. THE BASE REMAINED SECURED BY THE SEAT BELTS. THE CONTACT RETRIEVED THE INFANT AND THE SEAT FROM THE REAR FLOORBOARD. THE INFANT WAS NOT INJURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED DUE TO THE EXTENSIVE DAMAGE. THE LAST IT HAD BEEN DRIVEN WAS THE PREVIOUS NIGHT. IT WAS PARKED AROUND 6:00 P.M. ON THE 11TH OF AUGUST. I WOULD NOT HAVE KNOWN IT WAS ON FIRE IF THE NEIGHBOR HAD NOT SEEN THE FIRE AND BEAT ON MY DOOR TO WAKE ME UP. *NM

HEADLIGHTS DO NOT GIVE ENOUGH LIGHT TO SAFELY DRIVE AT NIGHT OR IN RAIN/BAD WEATHER. PERSONALLY I HAVE HAD MANY CLOSE CALLS DO TO THE LACK OF LIGHT AND OR HAD TO USE BRIGHTS. AS THE CONSUMER PULLED INSIDE THE PARKING LOT, TRAVELING AT 25MPH AND WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING, ANOTHER VEHICLE HIT THE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE FROM THE SIDE AND THE DUAL AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK *SCC
THE STOCK HEADLIGHTS ARE INADEQUATE AND UNSAFE. WE HIT A DEER. LINCOLN SHOULD REPLACE STOCK LIGHTS WITH THE HID VERSION. MY DAUGHTER AND I WERE ALMOST KILLED HITTING A DEER. THE STANDARD LIGHTS ARE SO BAD WE DIDN'T STAND A CHANCE.
THE HEADLIGHTS ON THIS VEHICLE PERFORM EXTREMELY POOR AND DUE TO BAD DESIGN, THE LIGHT OUTPUT BECOMES EXTREMELY LOW WITH TIME DUE TO MELTING OF THE REFLECTIVE HOUSING AND BAD WIRING. THIS MAKES THE VEHICLE DANGEROUS TO DRIVE ON THE FREEWAY AT NIGHT OR IN POOR WEATHER(RAIN). I HAVE NEARLY GOTTEN INTO SEVERAL ACCIDENTS ON THE FREEWAYS SINCE PURCHASING THIS CAR DUE TO THE LIGHTS NOT GIVING GOOD VISIBILITY. ALSO, FORD IS PRICE GAUGING CUSTOMERS FOR REPLACING THE HEADLIGHTS ON THESE VEHICLES(CHARG
ANTI -THEFT DEVICE INSTALLED IN VEHICLE BY FACTORY CAUSED AN ELECTRICAL SHORT; ALSO STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP, RESULTING IN LOSS OF CONTROL ACCIDENT, SPEED 35 MPH AND ANTI-LOCK BRAKE FAILURE. *AK
