I PICKED UP MY TRUCK FROM DEALERSHIP FOR RECALL AND WARRANTY ISSUES. DROVE AN HOUR AND A HALF, PARKED MY CAR. RETURNED HOME THAT HOUR AND A HALF, CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT,CLOSE TO HOME. WHILE I WAS STOPPED THE TRUCK ACCELERATED, NOW WITH BOTH FEET ON THE BRAKE, I STILL HIT THE CAR AHEAD OF ME. FORTUNATELY DUE TO MY QUICK REACTION, THE DAMAGE WAS ONLY TO MY BUMPER. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN DRIVEN 50 MILES WHEN THE CONTACT STOPPED TO GET GAS WHEN SHE NOTICED SMOKE ENTERING THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT OF THE CAR AND UNDER THE HOOD. SHE INJURED HER KNEE TRYING TO GET HER GRANDSON OUT OF HIS CAR SEAT. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALL BUT DID NOT ARRIVE BEFORE FLAMES WERE VISIBLE.
