My 2021 Lincoln Corsair has 20,691 miles on it. At a dealer visit on June 9, 2025 for an oil change and routine maintenance I was told by the dealer that the rear brakes needed replacement. A friend of mine with a 2022 Corsair with 18000 miles on it has the same issue with rear brakes being worn out. This appears to be a common issue with late model Escapes, Corsairs, and Ford Edges. Rear brakes should never wear out in 20K miles unless the calipers are sticking which is what is happening. This

Both the dealer and Lincoln (Ford) says I will be contacted when a fix is available. As I said it has been over six months and they still say that are working on it. Unfortunately it will probably take a kid to get run over before something is done.

Six months ago I Was told by dealer, ford is working on the problem and will be notified when to come back. Called dealership several time since and was told no fix is available at this time.
