Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY THE REAR TIRE STARTED SMOKING, I PULLED OVER AND FOUND A BIG HOLE IN THE SIDEWALL. I DID A RESEARCH ONLINE AND A LOT OF PEOPLE COMPLAINED ABOUT TIRE FAILURE AROUND 5K MILES, WITCH IS EXACTLY WHAT I PUT ON THEM. *TR

(1) THE PROBLEM IS ON THE 1995 LEXUS, SC400. (2) THE NEEDLES IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GET BLACKENED OUT; THEREFORE, I TOTALLY CAN'T SEE THE SPEED THAT I WAS GOING. THAT IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE I CAN GO FASTER THAN THE SAFETY LIMIT WITHOUT KNOWING IT. ALSO, THE OTHER INSTRUMENTS NEEDLES GET DARKENED AND DON'T SHOW THE CURRENT CONDITION OF THE CAR SUCH AS THE TEMPERATURE, FUEL, AND RPM. (3) THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS IN MANY LEXUS SC300, SC400, LS400 FROM THE YEAR OF 1992 TO 2000. I CAN PROVE IT'S THE COMMON SAFETY FAILURE FOR THESE CARS WITH YOUR INSTRUCTION. I WISH THE PROBLEM COULD BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED BY LEXUS MANUFACTURERS. *NM
