I own a Lexus Lx600; when I Stop the car, it is still in the drive or reverse position( or mode), then press the engine button, and the engine will turn off. so, if you are parking a car uphill it is very dangerous; with no warning and no safety mechanism, the car starts rolling, and the driver can be in the middle of getting out, I explained to the dealer, and they verbally explained to me how the Lexus LX600 was designed.
