VGRS RECALL 10V218000 TOYOTA/LEXUS HAD A RECALL FOR 2009 AND UP MODELS OF THE LS VEHICLE FOR STEERING NOT RETURNING TO CENTER DURING DRIVING OPERATIONS OR COMPLETE LOCKED TURNS. WHICH CAN CAUSE A ACCIDENT. THIS RECALL SHOULD HAVE STARTED IN 2008 AND NOT JUST 2009 AND UP. 2008 THE LS460/600 FIRST DEBUTED. THE VGRS SYSTEM WAS INCORPORATED IN THESE VEHICLES AS WELL. 2008 WAS THE ACTUAL STARTING YEAR FOR THESE VEHICLES. NOW I AM DRIVING A 2008 LS AND THE STEERING KEEPINGS GOING OFF CENTER. YESTERDAY I ALMOST HIT A PEDESTRIAN AND THERE CHILD WHILE CROSSING BECAUSE THE STEERING WAS OFF CENTER CAUSING ME TO STEER THE VEHICLE IN THE WRONG DIRECTION. THIS MORNING WHILE GOING TO WORK. TODAY THE WHEEL DOES THE SAMETHING EXCEPT WORST THEN BEFORE. NOW ITS A COMPLETE 90 OFF. IM DRIVING WITH STEERING SIDEWAYS. THIS HAS BEEN A ISSUE FOR THE PASSED 2 DAYS AND ITS FREAKING ME OUT. IT HAPPENS MOSTLY AFTER PULLING FROM PARKING OR U-TURN OR JUST RANDOMLY. I DO NOT KNOW WHEN TO EXPECT IT. 2008 LS SHOULD BE

THERE IS A CLICKING OR POPPING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE CAR. THIS HAPPENS ANYTIME WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES, AND WHEN STOPPED AT A LIGHT WITH THE BRAKES APPLIED. THE FREQUENCY OF THE NOISE HAS INCREASED WITH A SENSATION UNDER YOUR FOOT. I'M NOT SURE IF THIS WILL LEAD TO SOME TYPE OF ABS BRAKE FAILURE. I DID AN ONLINE SEARCH FOR THIS NOISE AND IT LOOKS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE LS MODELS. NUMEROUS PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM. IT TURNS OUT, IT IS THE BRAKE ACTUATOR AND LEXUS IS VERY AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. PEOPLE HAVE EXPERIENCED THE PROBLEM EARLY IN THE CARS LIFE OR LATER. SINCE THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR THE ENTIRETY OF THE 2007 TO 2010 MODEL YEAR I THINK THIS SHOULD BE AN OFFICIAL RECALL OR AT LEAST GRANDFATHERED IN AFTER THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED.
