Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2007 LS 460 is service brakes with 8 filings, followed by engine (3) and fuel/propulsion system (3). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability.
NHTSA currently has 3 investigation files overlapping the 2007 LS 460. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. THE SEVICE DEPARTMENT SAID THE BRAKE ACUATOR NEEDS REPLACING. LEXUS USA SHOULD HAVE DONE A RECALL ON THE BRAKE ACUATOR BUT INSTEAD DID A WARRANTY ENHANCEMENT WHICH ENDED 12-31-2017 (WITH UNLIMITED MILES) AND A SECONDARY COVERAGE OF 10 YEARS FROM FIRST DAY OF USE OR 150,000 MILES WHICEVER COMES FIRST. IF I HAD DRIVEN MY CAR MORE THAN I DID WITH THE MILEAGE GOING TO 150,662 MILES PRIOR TO 12/31/2017, I KNOW THE BRAKE ACUATOR PROBLEM WOULD HAVE HAPENED AT THAT TIME (AS IT CAME ON AT 150,662 MILES ) AND LEXUS WOULD HAVE REPLACED THE FAULTY BRAKE ACUATOR. I AM BEING PENALIZED BECAUSE I DID NOT DRIVE THE CAR ENOUGH WITHIN A SPECIFIC PERIOD OF

TAKATA RECALL THIS VEHICLE HAS A MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY ON THE ABS SENSOR AND THIS PART NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. THIS ABS SENSOR DOES NOT ALLOW THE CAR TO STOP IN A SAFE QUICK MANNER. YOU HAVE TO PRESS THE BRAKE REALLY HARD TO GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP. AT THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE SO THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED. IT IS NOT A COSMETIC ISSUE WHICH THE MANUFACTURER IS SAYING. THAT PUT IT AS A MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY WITH AN EXPIRATION DATE TO GET OUT OF PAYING FOR TONS AND TONS OF VEHICLES WITH THIS SAFETY ISSUE. PLEASE RECALL THIS PART ON THESE VEHICLES. IT IS VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND MANY PEOPLE HAVE THIS ISSUE.

MY 2007 LEXUS LS 460 DOOR PANELS AS WELL AS THE DASH GET EXTREMELY STICKY AND SHINY WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED IN A SUNNY HOT PLACE. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH A LEXUS REPRESENTATIVE AND WAS TOLD THAT EVEN THOUGH THEY KNOW ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND HAVE EXTENDED THE WARRANTY FOR SOME OF THEIR VEHICLES, MY VIN NUMBER WAS NOT ONE OF THE 'LUCKY' ONES THAT WOULD BE COVERED. AS SOME OF THE OTHER COMPLAINTS HAVE STATED, THE SHINY DASH COULD BE A SAFETY HAZARD. LEXUS KNOWS THEY USED INFERIOR PRODUCTS AND WILL NOT HONOR THEIR COMMITMENT FOR EXCELLENCE THEY CLAIM FOR THEIR CARS. I AM VERY DISILLUSIONED WITH LEXUS, A LUXURY CAR SHOULD NOT BE HAVING PROBLEMS BECAUSE OF CHEAP AND INFERIOR MATERIALS.
