I HAD BEEN HAVING MY 2 FRONT DOOR LOCKS WORKING PROPERLY ON AND OFF. JUST RECENTLY BOTH DOORS WILL NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK USING BUTTONS INSIDE OR ON THE KEY FOB. IT SEEMS TO BE A HUGE PROBLEM WITH TOYOTA AND LEXUS.

THE CONTACT CONTACTED AN UNKNOWN DEALER WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.*DT*JB
MY CAR WAS IN PARKING STRUCTURE WHEN I WALKED OUT TO MY CAR FOR LUNCH, OPENED CAR DOOR AND NOTICED GLASS SHARDS ON CENTER CONSOLE. LOOKED UP AT SUNROOF TO FIND THAT IT WAS COMPLETELY SHATTERED. LOOKED OVER VEHICLE TO SEE IF SOME OBJECT HAD FALLEN ON TOP OF VEHICLE, BUT AFTER NOTICING THAT GLASS SUNROOF WAS INTACT & BUBBLED UPWARD, IT BECAME CLEAR THAT GLASS HAD SHATTERED (I.E IMPLODED) FROM WITHIN THE VEHICLE.
