The paint on the roof of this white Lexus is peeling and cracking. I took it to Lexus and they said since it was 5K miles out of warranty, they would not repair this manufacturers defect

The contact owns a 2017 Lexus GX460. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the braking system erroneously activated causing the vehicle to abruptly stop in the middle of the roadway. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on many occasions, but only occurred at the same location each time at on BWI Parkway, Rt. 195, ext. 22, located in Baltimore, MD. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 50,000.
