Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2010 GX! is electronic stability control (esc) with 2 filings, followed by air bags (2) and traction control system (1). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability.

Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. My 4 LO light is constantly flashing, and I lose power when trying to accelerate. 1.Loss of Traction Control: If the 4WD system fails while engaged, it could lead to a sudden loss of traction. This can be particularly dangerous in conditions where 4WD is necessary, such as on slippery roads, steep inclines, or off-road situations. 2.Unexpected Vehicle Behavior: A malfunction in the 4WD system could lead to unpredictable vehicle behavior. For example, if the vehicle unexpectedly shifts into or out of 4Lo mode, it could disrupt the driver's control over the vehicle. 3.Increased Wear and Damage: Operating the vehicle with a malfunctioning 4WD system can lead to increased wear or damage to the drivetrain. Over time, this can result in more significant failures, potentially leading to unsafe driving conditions. 4.Difficulty in Handling: If the vehicle is stuck in 4Lo mode, it might become difficult to drive at higher speeds. The 4Lo mode is designed for low-speed, high-torque scenarios, and

20120813SERVICE BRAKES

AFTER FEELING THAT MY BRAKES HADN'T WORKED PROPERLY AT A STOP LIGHT (I ALMOST SKID THROUGH IT), I WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 35 MPH AROUND A CURVE AND LIGHTLY PRESSED ON THE BRAKES TO MAKE SURE I WOULD SLOW DOWN. UNBELIEVABLY, MY BRAKES COMPLETELY FAILED AND I ACTUALLY BELIEVE I SPED UP WHILE AT THE SAME TIME MY STEERING WENT OUT OF CONTROL. I WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL OR STOP THE CAR. AFTER A FEW SECONDS I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF TO THE RIGHT AND MUD SLOWED ME DOWN ENOUGH TO COME TO A STOP. IT WAS A TRULY PETRIFYING EXPERIENCE AND THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER CONFIRMED THAT MY BRAKES WERE COMPLETELY NON-FUNCTIONING WHEN HE HAD TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO GET MY CAR ON HIS TRUCK. LEXUS CLAIMED THAT THEY COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR, HOWEVER, WHICH I FIND TO BE EXTREMELY DISTURBING. I PRAY THAT THEY DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RESELL OR LEASE THIS CAR. *TR
