Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2014 RANGE ROVER EVOQUE is power train with 13 filings, followed by engine (12) and electrical system (5). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 2 active recall campaigns, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.
NHTSA currently has 2 investigation files overlapping the 2014 RANGE ROVER EVOQUE. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. Use the related-complaint feed below to read raw owner narratives before deciding whether any pattern here affects your specific use case.

I have researched my 2014 Range Rover Evoque and have come upon 2 recalls. First one is recal no. 16V614000. This is where the vehicle unexpectedly shifts to neutral as I am driving. I had a few instances with this as I was driving and car shifting to neutral and gearbox gets stuck...resulting in getting stuck in the middle of the road. The second recall is recall no. 14V155000 regarding the suspension. The damaged bolts may fail, allowing the link arm to separate from the vehicle, resulting in a loss of control and increasing the risk of a crash. I have already contacted Land Rover customer service and they told me my VIN number is not covered under the recall even though it is clearly affected by the recalls. The car is not safe to drive. I am hoping you could add my vehicle to the recall list to get this repaired as soon as possible.

My car shifts into neutral while Iâm driving. This is the same issue that I see recalls for but itâs stating that my car is not effected. Also, the rear suspension makes a loud grinding noise for no reason. Itâs weird because other 2014 Land Rovers have these exact same recall warnings and my vin number comes up clear on the internet. This vehicle only has 45k miles on it.

While pulling out, the vehicle stopped running in the middle of the road. On restart the gear selector went down and I was unable to switch to neutral to push it out of the way. I had it towed to landrover and they told me the cam sprocket stopper dropped onto my timing chain and made it fall off. Looking online it seems like this is a big issue and still no safety recall. This issue is known by landrover and I don't see why life's have to be risked for things to get fixed.
The front door will not open on the driver's side from the outside. It will only open from the inside due to the door handle.
Our 2014 Land Rover Evoque has a gear knob (gear shifter) located on the console. The gear knob changes by itself from drive, to neutral, to park. Dangerous! We identified this as part of a safety recall and took it to the dealer for repair. They updated the software and sent us on our way. After the same issue occurring several times, we took it back to the dealer at which time the stated we need a new transmission for over $17,000!!! The vehicle last showed only 35,000 miles! We have begged and pleaded our case with the dealer and repeatedly with Land Rover USA with no satisfactory resolution.

The powertrain just went out at 60k miles. I googled regarding this n found a lot of other complaints with the powertrain even a lawsuit.
THE TIMING CHAIN CONTINUES TO SLIP AND NEED TO REPLACED . LOOSES POWER, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CONTINUES TO COME ON. BEEN HAPPENING FOR ABOUT A YEAR.
