TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1994 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FRONT END MADE A LOUD GRINDING NOISE WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE ONTO THE ROAD SHOULDER AND IN A MATTER OF MOMENTS, THE WHEEL SEIZED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHO INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND THAT THE FRONT END DIFFERENTIAL FRACTURED DUE TO DEFECTIVE MATERIAL AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO SEIZE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 110,000. ...UPDATED 03/18/13 *BF UPDATED 04/09/2013 *JS

WHILE I WAS DRIVING, I LOST ALL STEERING CONTROL AND ENDED UP IN A DITCH. I SUBSEQUENTLY LEARNED THAT ONE OF THE TIE RODS ON THE VEHICLE HAD COMPLETELY BROKEN. FURTHER, TWO OF THE OTHER THREE TIE RODS WERE UNSAFE. (TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, I WAS BILLED FOR THE REPAIRS). ABOUT 20 MINUTES EARLIER, I WAS DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY AT A SPEED OF 55-60 MPH, IF THIS OCCURRED WHILE I WAS AT THAT SPEED, I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. OTHER PEOPLE COULD ALSO HAVE BEEN KILLED.
