Automobili Lamborghini (Lamborghini) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Aventador S Coupè and Aventador S Roadster vehicles. The engine management software may allow the engine to stall when coasting to a stop.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 LAMBORGHINI AVENTADOR S. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE FROM PRESTIGE IMPORTS MIAMI (14800 BISCAYNE BLVD, NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FL 33181) THE VEHICLE STALLED TWICE WHILE TRANSPORTING THE VEHICLE TO A TRAILER. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT TO PLUG-IN THE VEHICLE TO PREVENT BATTERY DRAINAGE. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE STEERING WHEEL CEASED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD STALLED AT LEAST 26 TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LAMBORGHINI LONG ISLAND (115 S SERVICE RD, JERICHO, NY 11753) WHERE THE TIRES, BATTERY, CLUTCH, AND ALTERNATOR WERE REPLACED HOWEVER, THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO LAMBORGHINI STERLING (21826 PACIFIC BLVD, STERLING, VA 20166) WHERE THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WERE AWAITING A DISTRIBUTION BOX REPLACEMENT SINCE THE DISTRIBUTION BOX WAS INSTALLED IMPROPERLY CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STALL.
