JOG SLIPS OUT OF FIRST GEAR VIOLENTLY. THE GEAR DOESNT STAY ENGAGED AND THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS WHEN PULLING OUT IN TRAFFIC. THIS HAPPENS QUITE OFTEN. WHEN IT POPS OUT, YOU ARE A STANDING DUCK.

ALSO THIS CAN BE REALLY DANGEROUS . IN THE PAST UNDER THE SERVICE BULLETIN 14-001-11 I LOT OF JEEP OWNERS CHANGED THIS PART FOR FREE BUT NOW THE DEALERS ARE NOT CHANGING IT ANYMORE AND ASKING ALMOST 1500$ TO FIX THIS ISSUE WAS CAUSED BY JEEP. JEEP NEEDS TO REACALL THIS CARS AND PAY CHANGE THE GAS TANK
IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS, THE POWER LOCK ACTUATORS HAVE FAILED ON ALL 4 DOORS. I HAVE TO MANUALLY LOCK/UNLOCK ALL OF THE DOORS. THEY PARTIALLY RESPOND TO THE KEY FOB, BUT THEY DON'T RESPOND AT ALL TO THE LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH ON THE FRONT DOORS.

WHEN FILLING THE GAS TANK FUEL WILL SPILL OUT WHEN THE NOZZLE SHUTS OFF. SPILLING COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF FUEL DOWN THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE ALL OVER THE NOZZLE AND MY HAND AND CREATING A LARGE PUDDLE ON THE GROUND. THIS HAPPENS ALMOST EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE IS FILLED UP.

FOR THE PAST 5 MONTHS I'VE HAD MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. I READ THE CODE AND IS SAYS "LARGE E VAP LEAK " I'VE REPLACED THE PCV VALVE AND THE E VAP CHARCOAL CANISTER AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON. I'VE BROUGHT IT TO A MECHANIC AND THEY DID A SMOKE TEST AND EVERYTHING TESTED OUT GOOD. SHOWING THAT THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS AND TO START WITH THE GAS CAP. I'VE SPENT OVER 100.DOLLARS ON GAS CAPS AND I STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM. I HAVE TO FOR EMISSIONS BY THE END OF DECEMBER. I'VE HAD EVERY RECALL KNOWN TO MAN ON THIS JEEP. I'VE DONE RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THAT IT COULD BE THE GAS FILLER NECK ITSELF. HOW TO I GO ABOUT GETTING A NEW ONE AND WILL IT COST ME ANYTHING? I ALSO HAVE PROBLEMS WHEN I TRY AND FILL THE TANK. THE GAS COMES FLYING BACK OUT IF I TRY AND FILL IT. ITS GETTING OUT OF HAND AND THE DEALERSHIP WON'T GIVE ME AN ANSWER. MY NAME IS [XXX]. I RUN A REPAIR SHOP CALLED GLEN ALLEN SERVICE CENTER. WE HAVE HAD 3 JEEP WRANGLERS (2007, 2007, AND 2008) THAT HAVE NEEDED BRAKE HOSE REPLACEMENT IN THE LAST 4 MONTHS. THE FIRST ONE WE NOTICED THE HOSE WAS SWOLLEN WHERE A RUBBER COVER IS MADE OVER THE STEEL LINE CRIMP AT THE FRAME AND THE BRAKE CALIPER. WE ADVISED THE CUSTOMER TO REPLACE IT WHICH HE DID. THE OTHER TWO WERE TOWED IN WITH COMPLETE BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE (BRAKE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR). CHRYSLER HAS REDESIGNED THE HOSES BUT THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL ISSUED. BOTH CHRYSLER DEALERS PARTS DEPARTMENTS I DEAL WITH SEEM TO NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ORDERED AS THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. THE 'HEAT BARRIER/ SOUND BARRIER' CAUSING ON THE JEEPS FLOORBOARDS CAPTURES WATER WHICH THEN COMPLETELY RUSTS OUT THE FLOOR BOARD. I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A FREAK DEAL WITH MINE, BUT UPON RESEARCH AND TALKING TO OTHERS WHO OWN WRANGLE, I FOUND THIS WAS PRETTY COMMON. I ALSO CAN FEEL THE DRIVERS FLOOR GETTING VERY HOT AS THERE IS NOW ALMOST NOTHING BETWEEN MY FEET AND THE ALUMINUM HEAT SHIELDING FOR THE EXHAUST THAT RUNS JUST UNDER THE DRIVERS SIDE.
PARKED AT A GAS STATION, REFUELING MY JEEP TO THE FULLEST CAUSES IT TO CHOKE ON THE GAS AND THROWS UP SOME OF IT.

TAKATA RECALL - IT HAS ALMOST BEEN A YEAR SINCE THE TAKATA RECALL WAS ANNOUNCED. IN THAT TIME, I HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED BY JEEP ONCE. AS IT APPEARS THAT THE WRANGLER IS THE ONLY VEHICLE IN THEIR LINE THAT IS AFFECTED, I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED. I HAVE A 2007 WRANGLER AND LIVE IN ALABAMA WHICH IS "ZONE A" FOR THE RECALL. I HAVE A COLLEAGUE THAT HAS A SIMILAR AGED VEHICLE FROM TOYOTA THAT WAS TOLD TO PARK THE CAR AND WAS PROVIDED WITH A LOANER BY TOYOTA UNTIL A FIX WAS AVAILABLE BECAUSE OF THE POTENTIAL DANGER. AS THIS IS THE VEHICLE THAT I USE TO DRIVE MY CHILD TO AND FROM SCHOOL, THIS CONCERNS ME. IT SEEMS THAT JEEP IS MAKING NO EFFORT TO REMEDY THIS PROBLEM, AND I AM LEFT PUTTING PASSENGERS OF MY VEHICLE IN DANGER. ANY EFFORT TO CONTACT JEEP HAVE RESULTED IN NO RESPONSE. I WOULD MUCH PREFER TO HAVE THE AIRBAG DISABLED AND/OR REMOVED UNTIL A FIX IS AVAILABLE RATHER THAN A POTENTIAL HAZARD FOR MY CHILD. EVEN A NEW INFLATOR THAT IS NO SO OLD WOULD BE A BETT
FILLING THE JEEP UP WITH FUEL IT SPITS A LOT OF FUEL OUT WHEN IT GETS FULL AND SEVERAL TIMES GETTING ON MY CLOTHS AND SHOES. I'VE READ THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. IF I WERE TO GET BACK IN THE JEEP AND WOULD GET STATIC AND IGNITE MY CLOTHS AND BURN MYSELF BADLY I DON'T THINK THIS WOULD BE GOOD FOR ANYONE.
