STRONG FUEL ODOR, THIS JEEP ONLY HAS 8.000 MILES ON IT I BOUGHT IT USED, STRONG FUEL ODOR IN AND AROUND JEEP. HAVE IT IT IN THE SHOP 3 TIMES NO ONE CAN FIND THE PROBLEM, I AM AFRAID OF A EXPLOSION THAT'S HOW BAD THE SMELL IS THE FUEL SMELL IS OVERPOWERING, LIKE I SAID MECHANICS AT A JEEP DEALER CAN'T FIND OUT WHAT IT IS AND WITH HAVING ONLY A LITTLE OVER 8,000 MILES IT SHOULD NOT BE DOING THIS. THE ODOR OF GAS CAN BE STRONG WHILE DRIVING WITH THE AC UNIT GOING THROUGH THE VENTS AND WHEN IT IS STATIONARY IT IS EVEN STRONGER, SMELL STARTED MAY THE 15TH 2019

THE SMOKE SMOKE CONTINUED FOR APPROXIMATELY 3-4 SECONDS AND WAS WHITISH BLUE IN COLOR. AFTER THE HAD DISSIPATED THERE WAS A DISTINCT SMELL OF AN ELECTRICAL BURN. ALL WINDOWS, BLOWER, AC, HEAT CONTROLS WORK AS NORMAL, RADIO AND SPEAKERS WORK AS NORMAL TOO. I'VE HAD MY JEEP SENSE 2012 AND HAVE NEVER SEEN OR EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE BEFORE.

THE DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS A FAULTY HORN AND REPLACED THE CLOCK SPRING, HORN AND A FUSE. A FEW WEEKS LATER, WHILE DRIVING, THE HORN, WIPERS AND LIGHTS ALL CAME ON AND I COULD NOT TURN THESE OFF! EVEN AFTER REMOVING THE KEY, THE ENGINE AND ALL THE ABOVE WOULD NOT SHUT OFF! JEEP BASICALLY POSSESSED. HORN GOES OFF, WIPERS TURN ON, WIPER FLUID SPRAYS, DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK RAPIDLY.(ALL BY THEMSELVES). REMAINS RUNNING AFTER TURNED OFF AND KEY REMOVED. PERIODICALLY SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. PROBLEM IS TIPM(TOTALY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE). 2007'S WERE RECALLED FOR THESE SAME ISSUES BUT THEY WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE FOR THE 2008'S. I'VE SPOKE WITH SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO HAD 07'S THAT HAD THE EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS. AFFECTED PART NUMBER - 04692236AF

THE AIR BAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON AND OFF AS THE CAR IS DRIVEN. I HAVE DONE RESEARCH AND IT APPEARS THIS IS QUITE COMMON IN THE CARS. MY CONCERN IS DOES THE AIR BAG WORK OR NOT. MY 16 YEAR OLD CHILD USED TO DRIVE THIS CAR BUT DOES NOT ANYMORE. THEY RECALLED JEEPS WITH THE STEERING WHEELS ON THE LEFT SIDE WITH THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM THAT I AM DESCRIBING. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND NOT SURE WHY NO ONE IS FORCING A RECALL ON THIS. I WAS ORIGINALLY TOLD THIS WAS COVERED IN A RECALL BY GALEANA JEEP IN COLUMBIA S.C. AND BROUGHT MY JEEP IN TO GET WORKED ON. WHEN I GOT MY JEEP BACK THE LIGHT WAS STILL TURNING ON AND OFF AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT COVERED. THIS IS NOT GOOD BUSINESS.

ANOTHER JEEP SAME YEAR AND MODEL HAD TO HAVE ALL THEIR FRONT END PARTS REPLACED TOO AT THE SAME DEALERSHIP. SECOND WATER PUMP IN TWO YEARS EGR VALVE REPLACED BUT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STILL ON MAINTENANCE WAS DONE BY THE MANUAL WITH THIS JEEP
