Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2020 WRANGLER is steering with 230 filings, followed by electrical system (140) and unknown or other (55). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 12 active recall campaigns, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.

NHTSA currently has 3 investigation files overlapping the 2020 WRANGLER. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. The cluster instrument panel stopped working. It is a part that has been recalled. It was taken to the local jeep dealer and they confirmed the issue. Apparently, my jeep has not been added to the recall list yet. I also reported the issue directly to Chrysler back when it first happened.

Shortly after leaving my house I glanced at the digital readout for my speed and noticed that the instrument cluster was blank. I pulled over, stopped my Jeep, then restarted it to see if that would correct it, which it did not. I took it to a reputable auto/electrical garage who at first noticed a master fuse block blown and replaced the fuse block. That didn't correct the instrument cluster however but they did find a recall 30B for 2020 Jeep Wrangler. I called Stellantis (1 800 334 9200) today, Feb 16th . I was told by 3 different people in 3 different departments that even though there is a safety recall on 2020 Jeeps my VIN# isn't included. I asked why not and was told that it depended where the Jeep was made. They also told me that the repair will be at my expense. This doesn't seem fair to me because the recall is a safety issue to replace the instrument panel cluster free of charge. Just because my Jeep VIN# wasn't included doesn't mean it wasn't going to fail like the oth

The instrument cluster has failed. I am unable to see critical warnings for my Jeep. I am unable to determine the milage. Fortunately, the speedometer is separate and I am able to see the speed. I see there is a recall for 2020 Wranglers but, for some reason my VIN is not included. I'm being told by the dealer that the repair will cost $1600. Reading online, this issues seems to be a problem with Wranglers.

My instrument cluster has failed. I can't see any vehicle information. No gas or oil gauges. No information what so ever. I can't see my speed or if may my be overheating. This is basic safety issues I should be able to see. There has been a recall for 2020 Jeep Wrangler's so other people have has the same issue. I can't drive without the basic safety instruments working. I don't even know how many miles are on my Jeep

The instrument panel cluster went totally dark, I only have 53,000 miles on this vehicle. I can't see any warning lights, digital speed, and most dangerously how much gas I have in the vehicle. The dealer wants $2000.00 to replace it but this seems to be a common issue with Jeeps and the 7.0 cluster should be recalled along with the 3.5 cluster. I have the 7.0 that has not been recalled yet.

Instrument control panel does not function. It is a dark/blank screen not allowing driver to see vital functions and information about the vehicle. This vehicle had an alternator issue but could not be determined without extra tooling and labor to diagnose the problem. Safety is of paramount concern. Vehicle was taken into a dealership for inspection and determined that the "ICP" had failed and needed to be replaced for approximately $1600. This was before recall #30b had been initiated. The recall seemed to include this vehicle given the year and model listed in the recall order. Strangely, it is not included for this particular vehicle which is exhibiting the exact symptoms listed in the recall order.

The instrument panel, recently went dark on us while driving. We had seen previous recalls on this issue, but never received anything. Are we covered under this recall?

20260126POWER TRAIN

I was driving on the highway with my daughter with dry normal conditions approximately 65-70mph when all of a sudden the jeep downshifts into 1st gear causing an extreme deceleration almost to a complete stop. I had a dead gas pedal and could not accelerate to get to a safe area or shoulder. The problem stopped after I came to a complete stop. My Jeep has been in the shop many times with unrelated issue. I did notify dealer they just brushed it off. It is in the dealership now with oil leak and mentioned transmission issue occured again and this time I made sure they wrote down exactly what happened and I feel extremely unsafe driving this car.

Steering wheel electrical failure. Melted wiring inside steering wheel. Potential airbag and steering safety failure. Serious safety defect. Fire risk! While getting ready to leave a retail parking lot with heated steering wheel on, we became overwhelmed with fumes. Noticed the steering wheel was hot. Immediately shut off the car and opened the doors. When the fumes subsided, started the car and made sure the heated steering wheel was off. It no longer worked at all, when car was re-started. This could have been life threatening had we been traveling on the highway and not in a parking lot. Took vehicle to our dealer- Central Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge for repair. Dealer service advisor unable to diagnose exact cause due to extent of damage. Also commented shock that we didn’t experience a fire that could have caused the airbag to explode as well. Service advisor stated steering wheel heating element short and steering wheel wiring to clock spring melted due to excessive heat in circui
