THIS IS A 1995 JEEP CHEROKEE WITH ONLY 84,000 MILES. THIS WAS REPORTED TO THE CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT AS I AM SCARED THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF SIMILAR FAILED SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY'S THAT WILL ONLY BE DISCOVERED NOT TO BE WORKING IN AN EMERGENCY WHEN THEY NEED TO WORK THE MOST, I THINK ALL VEHICLES OF A SIMILAR AGE FITTED WITH THIS BRAND OF SEAT BELT SHOULD BE CHECKED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. *TR

WHEN I DISCUSS THIS MATTER WITH TWO OTHER PERSONS WHO HAVE THE SAME CAR AS I, I WAS INFORMED THAT THEIR CAR HAS THE SAME IDENTICAL PROBLEM. ONE OWNER HAS HAD THE PROBLEM CORRECTED BY THEIR MECHANIC, THE OTHER CANNOT FIND THE REASONING. *NM

WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE DRIVER TRIED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND WAS ABLE TO DO SO. HOWEVER, THE DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO SHIFTED GEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *JB
THE VEHICLE CONSTANTLY LEAKED WATER FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER CONDENSER. THE WATER WAS LEAKING BETWEEN THE FIRE WALL AND THE FLOOR. THE MANUFACTURER SUGGESTED THAT A HOLE BE DRILLED NEAR THE CONDENSER SO THE WATER COULD DRIP OUT THEN SEAL THE HOLE UP. THIS SOLUTION DIDN'T WORK AND WITHIN THREE MONTHS THE WATER WAS THERE AGAIN. *NLM

WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY 58 MPH THE STEERING WHEEL WAS LOOSE, ALMOST LOST CONTROL. ABLE TO GET OFF OF FREEWAY,. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DEALER, THE PLASTIC CLIP WAS REDRILLED TO HOLD TOGETHER TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM. *AK
