I HAVE A 1994 JEEP CHEROKEE GRAND LAREDO AND IT CAME WITH A 16" "DOUGHNUT" SPARE TIRE. A FEW DAYS AGO I HAD TO CHANGE A FLAT TIRE, AND WHEN I TRIED TO DRIVE ON THE SMALL SPARE TIRE, THE CAR WOULD START TO VIBRATE VIOLENTLY EVERY FEW BLOCKS. I WOULD MAKE A COMPLETE STOP, AND I COULD START DRIVING FOR ABOUT TWO BLOCKS, BEFORE THE CAR STARTED THE SAME PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT THE SPARE WAS TOO SMALL AND THAT THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE WAS TRYING TO ENGAGE EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ALREADY RUNNING IN FOUR WHEEL DRIVE. HE TOLD ME THAT I HAD A 4 WHEEL HIGH AND LOW TRANSMISSION, AND THIS IS WHY I COULDN'T USE THIS SPARE THAT WAS SUPPLIED WITH THE AUTOMOBILE. HE ALSO TOLD ME THAT THE 1996 JEEP CHEROKEE GRAND LAREDO WAS RECALLED FOR THIS PROBLEM, BUT NOT THE 1994.
