Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 19 active recall campaigns, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.
NHTSA currently has 6 investigation files overlapping the 2014 GRAND CHEROKEE. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. Use the related-complaint feed below to read raw owner narratives before deciding whether any pattern here affects your specific use case.

I took my car to the dealer for the recalls. They are basically only putting a band aid on the issue. They are telling me they did both recalls but it didn't fix the issue. Klaben in Kent Ohio. They basically did just a flash on it but that didn't fix the issue (LOSS OF CRANKSHAFT POSITION). Everything I read said the reluctor wheel needs replaced and they are telling me the vehicle is too old and won't fix. This is all part of the recall. If you have any questions please call me. The air bag light on the dash came on . Not sure what to do
I was rolling up to a red light. The jeep shut down on a main road. The battery light, ABS, and power saver mode went on. The power steering shut off and then the car shut off. I was unable to move the vehicle. I wait 5 minutes then started the car again and got it rolled into the nearest parking lot

Had a catastrophic fuel system failure and was repaired on the Z46 recall the dealer had my vehicle for 2 months and finally got me a loaner after 30 days. Vehicle was finally repaired after 2 months, drove for approximately 2 months and less than 400 miles and it failed again showing a code of low fuel pressure the same as last time had vehicle towed back to same dealership after making appointment and they have had it for 2 weeks and still have not even run a diagnostic check and are refusing to offer me a loaner.
Seat belt retracted D rings cracked. Seat belt will not retract
The seat belt does not retract. There is a crack where the seat belts enter the post and compresses the seat belt. I took it to the dealer and they would love to fix it but there are no parts available so they can not do anything. In summary we use the seatbelt only as a decoration piece so we do not get ticket it by non-using a seat belt. I asked the dealer if I could try to fix it my myself but he believes I will void the warranty. Not having a seatbelt is a major safety issue, that's why I write to you. Suggestion: (1) or Mopar gets the parts available to the dealer or (2) we do not penalized the user for trying to fix it. This is my wife car [XXX] ) she is [XXX] /o. The car is excellent conditions with 48 K miles. Thank you much for you help in considering this issue. BTW Jeep forum is full of users with the same problem. The Anti-lock braking system and the electronic traction control system are both failing. There were previous recalls on both systems that say they have been repaired, but the lights for both are constantly on. The brakes do not work fully, and it has caused me to slide down the street from my workplace. The electronic traction control system not working has caused it so that my four-wheel drive does not work, and I have gotten stuck in the snow multiple times. The car has been inspected by a repair technician. The warning lights came on right as the problem was happening.

Driver side Headrest Airbag Yes vehicle is available for inspection. No accident Yes injury The driver side headrest airbag deployed while driving without an accident happening. I suffered whiplash and headaches after the incident that happened on January 18th, 2026. The headrest airbag deploying could have caused an accident but lucky for me I was able to pull my vehicle over safely. There is a possibility of going to the doctors if neck pain and headaches continue. I will be taking it to the dealership on Tuesday January 20th, 2026 to find out what caused the airbag to deploy. It has not been inspected yet but will be tomorrow January 20th, 2026. No warning lights came on before or during the airbag deploying.
Vechicle returns to limp mode. Almost causing several accidents on interstate. Engine 3.6. variable valve timing enough jeep at one time offered a longer warranty. Replaced cams, heads, phasers, oil pump, computer, timing chain, timing gears, over 9000.00 parts and labor. Mopar parts very problematic with the varible timing valve train.after problems in timing was fixed, there now is a oil pressure problem. Master mechanic credentials worked on vechicle several time and hour to try to fix problems. Mechanic now say only way to make vechicle safe at this point is to put a new engine in.this will cost over 13000 dollars over the 9000.00. I have already spent. Scariest part of this vechicle is when on a 70mph interstate and vechicle goes to a top speed of 40mph.

The seatbelt I has stopped retracting on the passenger side of the vehicle and is now occurring on the driver side of the vehicle as well. This is a safety concern.
The dealership says that they repair the open recall, but it still shows that the issue hasnât been fixed.
