TAKATA RECALL: APPROX JUNE OF 2015 AFTER GOING TO THE OREGON CITY DUMP WHILE SITTING AT THE LIGHT WAITING FOR THE LIGHT TO CHANGE. THE AIRBAG JUST WENT OFF NO REASON NO ACCIDENT AND GAVE A BLOODY NOSE. HE HAD TO CHANGE THE STEERING WHEEL BECAUSE OF IT. BUT NOW I'M SCARED TO DRIVE IT AND IT JUST SITS.

GOING DOWN I-70 EAST SOMEWHERE BETWEEN DENVER AND STRASBURG, CO THE VEHICLE STARTING LOSING POWER. I PULLED OVER ONTO THE SHOULDER TO CALL MY GRANDSON. THEN THE CAR STARTING FILLING WITH SMOKE AFTER A FEW MINUTES. ANOTHER DRIVER STOPPED AND RAN UP TO ME SAYING HE DIDN'T KNOW IF I KNEW MY CAR WAS ON FILE. I GOT OUT, AND THE REAR END WAS ON FIRE. YOU COULD SEE FUEL LEAKING WHICH WAS ON FIRE AS IT LEAKED. I WAS AFRAID IT WAS GOING TO BLOW UP. I CALLED 911, AND THE POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENT CAME. IN THE MEANTIME, THERE WAS SNOW ON THE GROUND AND PEOPLE WERE THROWING SNOW ONTO THE FIRE. THE FIRE BURNED THE INSIDE OF THE CAR UP TO THE FRONT SEAT. I HAD TO SELL IT FOR JUNK. THE DEALER INSTALLED A NEW TRAILER HITCH. HOWEVER, THE IGNORED THE ADDITIONAL SAFETY CORRECTION THE CONSUMER POINTED OUT. *JB
