TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1991 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. AFTER THE ENGINE WAS STARTED, HYDRAULIC FLUID LEAKED OUT. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT ABOUT THE VEHICLE BEING INVOLVED IN A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION CAMPAIGN THAT INCLUDED A WARRANTY FOR THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE, WHICH COVERED THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT REPAIR THE VEHICLE PER THE CAMPAIGN DUE TO PARTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THE REPAIR. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE CAMPAIGN NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 300,000.

DT: THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING THE DASHBOARD LIGHT FOR ABS CAME ON. WHILE TRYING TO MASH THE BRAKES AND STOP THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP, AND THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO COME TO A STOP. AFTER THIS, THE VEHICLE HAD ZERO BRAKING ABILITY. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO A REPAIR SHOP, AND THEY SAID TO GO TO A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. THE CONTACT CALLED CHRYSLER, AND HE WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS PLANNING ON HAVING THE BRAKES FIXED. THE VEHICLE IS A 1991 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE.*AK
