Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2023 GLADIATOR is electrical system with 13 filings, followed by suspension (10) and steering (7). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 5 active recall campaigns, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.
NHTSA currently has 1 investigation file overlapping the 2023 GLADIATOR, and 1 remain open. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. Use the related-complaint feed below to read raw owner narratives before deciding whether any pattern here affects your specific use case.

My 2023 Gladiator currently has 36,000 miles and is experiencing severe front-end vibration commonly referred to as âdeath wobble.â The issue occurs at approximately 60 mph when hitting a bump on the highway, causing the steering wheel and front end to shake violently. I have scheduled an appointment with an authorized Jeep dealer for inspection. This condition has nearly caused an accident, as I was traveling on a busy highway and had to slow down abruptly and pull over to regain control. There are no warning lights, messages, or other noticeable symptoms.

The battery keeps draining. Itâs done it twice in 1 year, 2 different batteries
Cut off on me while driving. Loss power in middle of street almost cause me to hit another vehicle. Took it to repair under warranty they took almost 2 months to repair. Did some research and apparently this is a common issue on these trucks ans it is still not a recall about it. Dealership replaced same fuel injection pump it had. So basically it will happen again sometime soon. My vehicle only has 17k miles.

I purchased this vehicle April 2025 from Hollywood Motors LLC in Columbus OH. I noticed recently the vehicle had some frame damage after getting alignment, Also the airbag warning lights were coming on. Took the vehicle to a very reputable frame shop and they thoroughly investigated and found there that the drivers side frame rail i pushed back significantly. Also recently noticed the steering wheel adjustment is does not work. I purchased AS IS but I got confirmation in writing from dealer that he guarantees there is no frame damage and the vehicle is safe. This is false information and I would like to return the vehicle or dealer pays for it to be fixed.

Gas overflows when filling at gas station It has happened over 5 times. Nozzle is on the lowest setting Have been to the dealership twice to have it inspected I have video of it happening twice. The tank is usually 1/4 tank when filling. Safety hazard.
My vehicle was off and parked in my driveway, my dogs were alerting to something outside and I looked out to see the front end of my vehicle in flames, by the time the fire department got here, there was nothing left but a shell.

While on a trip from South Texas to Northeast Texas on the interstate highway system we hit a moderate bump and the front wheels and steering wheel experienced a very violent vibration. The vibration would not stop until I slowed from 75 mph to approximately 35 mph. This happened to me twice in my Jeep JL Wrangler which I reported under complaint number 11685327. Since the three incidents I have looked into the issue on the internet and it is abuzz with Jeep owners and claims of a "death wobble" in the steering system. It appears there was a previous lawsuit in which the manufacturer was not found at fault but this problem persists based on the internet traffic I've seen and the number of products being offered, by after market companies, to correct this issue. Thank you...
I used the 4 wheel drive and received message that clutch was hot, then received message to service transmission. Vehicle went into limp mode. Drove at speeds of 35 to 40 miles an hour. 50 miles an hour down hill. Had to drive access roads because [XXX] traffic is 75 miles per hour. Several times speed was even slower. Took it to brown dodge in Devine. The reset system and said I could not use 4x4. Referenced star code s2521000001. I took vehicle in 7/13/25. I wonder if they even previously preformed recall 19a clutch on This manual transmission. Purchased Mojave Jan/2023, recalled received 4/23. Recall repaired 6/24. On 15000 miles on it and the first time I use 4x4 the vehicle became useless and barely able to move. I wonder if software upgrade for 19a really fixed the 19a issue or just was a bandage to buy more time. I have purchased several Chrysler products and the manufacturer lack of addressing the issues is concerning. Iâm [XXX] this is the first
The vehicle was being driven on a 4 mile stretch of interstate 26 averaging between 65 and 70 MPH. On the steepest section of the grade the vehicle downshifted into 7th gear and began to lose power. It showed a check engine light and other codes which are attached. I was able to safely pull over to the shoulder but the vehicle lacked power and pulling over and maneuvering on a steep grade was precarious. I received an alert from the Jeep mobile app on my phone shortly after instructing me to take my car to schedule an appointment now. I was able to use a scanner application JScan to clear the code and was able to return home without further incident. I investigated the code that was provided by JScan âP00AFâ and discovered that numerous owners had experienced the same situation across all lines of vehicles that use the Gen 3 Ecodiesel. I counted 37 separate reports while using Google in 15 minutes of searching. This is a serious safety issue as I was traveling at interstat

On [XXX], I purchased a 2023 Jeep Gladiator from Lakeland Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep Ram in Lakeland, Florida. At the time of purchase. I purchased a 36K/3 Year Bumper to Bumper warranty on the vehicle. After purchasing the vehicle, I noticed that several lights would come on in the vehicle. So I took the vehicle to the shop. The vehicle was taken to Posner Park Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep , RAM. A diagnostic test was completed, and they informed me that the airbags were inoperable, and the harnesses were sliced. The front door lock was also not working as well as other items. There was no way for me to know that the airbags were in that type of shape when I purchased the vehicle. I contacted Lakeland Jeep and spoke to about 5 managers as well as my salesperson Kyle. Justin Purdy asked me to forward the paperwork to his email and ii did do so. The problem is that I was sold a vehicle that was unsafe, and I purchased a warranty to cover the cost of the repairs. This version of the jeep has two batteries, a main and auxiliary. The auxiliary battery is used to power the cpus and such. Tens of thousands of Jeep owners have to disable this aux battery. This is due to both batteries not being charged and charged in a way that destroys both batteries. The cause of this is an engineering fault. Two batteries in parallel as in this case MUST be that same voltage and chemistry. Jeep has engineered the process to allow the aux battery to run down independent of the main. This unbalanced electrical situation destroys both batteries. Jeep will do nothing about it, the mechanics are in denial about it and can only return the vehicle back to it's defective state.
