ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2016 Dodge Journey, Jeep Compass, and Jeep Patriot vehicles manufactured May 9, 2016, to July 15, 2016. The crankshaft or camshaft sensor may only work intermittently, causing the engine to stall.
Recent Complaints
I was driving my vehicle and out of nowhere the airbag in the driver's seat exploded. The vehicle is available for inspection. I almost wrecked. The vehicle has not been inspected by thr manufacturer yet. I left a message for the service manager at my local jeep dealership. There were no warning lights on prior to deployment.
As I was backing out of a driveway, I heard a loud pop and felt something hit me in the back of the head really hard. My headrest burst open spontaneously. I now have a bad headache and sore neck.
While backing out of driveway the driver side active head restraint spontaneously deployed hitting my teenager driver in the back of the head.
I WAS IN A HEAD-ON COLLISION ON 9/24/2020. THE CAR IS BEING INSPECTED FOR REPAIRS NOW AND I AM DEALING WITH THE INSURANCE CLAIM AT THIS TIME. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT GO OFF AT A SPEED OF 35-40 MPH, STRIKING THE VEHICLE THAT WAS AT-FAULT, AND THEN A METAL POLE. FORTUNATELY DID NOT HAVE MY DAUGHTER WITH ME.

I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT ON FEBRUARY 28, 2019 WHEN I VEERED OFF INTO A DITCH, MY VEHICLE FLEW INTO THE AIR AFTER HITTING A DRIVEWAY, AND FLIPPED AT ABOUT 55 MPH. I WAS ON A VACATION TRIP AND MY SON WAS DRIVING. THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AND HE CRASHED INTO A POLE. MY WIFE AND I THOUGHT THE STEERING WAS ROUGH BUT THOUGHT IT WOULD EASE UP. AFTER THE CAR WAS HIT THE AXEL ON THE RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE WAS DESTROYED. HE WASN'T MOVING FAST ENOUGH FOR THE AXEL TO GET DAMAGED WHICH LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THE AXEL WAS POORLY CONSTRUCTED IN THE FIRST PLACE. NO MY CAR IS STUCK IN A FRIEND'S DRIVEWAY WITH NO WAY OF GETTING IT HOME. THIS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE.
