TL* THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER OWNED A 1999 JEEP CHEROKEE. WHILE THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE FRONT OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED, BUT THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE LEFT EYE, LACERATION OF THE NOSE, A BROKEN JAW, THE FRONT TEETH SHIFTED, AND BLACK EYES. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. I WAS PARKED IN MY LOT AND A NEIGHBOR DROPPED A CIGARETTE BEHIND MY 1999 JEEP. THERE WAS UNGODLY GAS SMELL AND THE PUDDLE OF GAS THAT IS LEAKING FROM TANK IGNITED. I WAS LUCKILY ENOUGH THAT I CAUGHT IT AT THAT TIME OR IT WOULD HAVE EXPLODED. I JUST BOUGHT IT AND NEVER SMELLED GAS OR THOUGHT THE TANK WAS LEAKING. I HAD TO SPENLEAKING. IT IS GOING TO COST OVER 500 DOLLARS FOR THIS TO BE FIXED PLUS A TOW BAR. PLEASE HELP ME TO SEE IF JEEP COMPANY IS RESPONSIBLE DUE TO RECALL. *TR

I DROVE MY JEEP TO A HOME, PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY, LEFT THE CAR RUNNING ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES. AS I WAS LOCKING THE DOOR LEAVING THE HOME I TURNED AND SAW THE JEEP GOING IN REVERSE TOWARD THE ROAD, I RAN TO THE JEEP TO TRY AND GET IN AND CONTROL THE JEEP, I SLIPPED UNDER THE VEHICLE AND IT RAN OVER BOTH MY LEGS. IT CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP ABOUT 30-50 FEET AFTER IT RAN ME OVER. I WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL, TREATED AND RELEASED. I HAVE NOT YET HAD THE CAR LOOKED AT BY A MECHANIC. *JB
