Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability.

NHTSA currently has 5 investigation files overlapping the 1997 NPR. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. FAN CLUTCH HAS GONE OUT TWO TIMES ALREADY. ISUZU TOLD US IN 98 THAT THE FAN CLUTCH WAS DEFECTIVE AND A NEW STYLE WAS TO BE BUILT. IN FEB OF 1999 THEY FINALLY CAN OUT WITH A NEW MODEL. TIME WILL TELL IF IT WAS A NEW MODEL OF ANOTHER LIE. WE ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE ABS BRAKE WARNING CABLE BEING WORN THROUGH CAUSING LOSS OF ABS SYSTEM. MANUFACTURER SAYS IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, YET I CANT SEE WHY A BRAKE LINE TO WEAR THROUGH AT 84000 MILES ON HIGHWAY ROADS.
