ON CERTAIN SCHOOL AND TRANSIT BUSES BUILT WITH BOSCH ZERO OFFSET PIN SLIDE (ZOPS) HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKES, THE ZOPS HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKES MAY EXPERIENCE CALIPERS STICKING IN THE APPLIED POSITION, WHICH CAN RESULT IN EXCESSIVE OR ABNORMAL HEAT GENERATION AT ONE OR MORE OF THE BRAKES.

SUMMARY: I RECENTLY SENT A COMPLAINT REGARDING MY 2001 INTERNATIONAL 4700LP TRUCK AND THE RECENT PROBLEMS WITH THE CALIPERS ON THE HYDRAULIC BRAKING SYSTEM.*AK THE FIRST INCIDENT HAPPENED 05/04/04 WHEN THE LEFT FRONT CALIPER SEIZED. THE SECOND INCIDENT HAPPENED 07/12/04 WHEN THE RIGHT FRONT CALIPER SEIZED. I GOT THE TRUCK REPAIRED AND BACK HOME ON 07/13/04. TODAY 07/14/04 THE REAR LEFT CALIPER SEIZED TODAY. ALL INCIDENTS WERE CAUSED BY THE CALIPERS BECAOMING EXTREMELY HOT AND SEIZING THE BRAKING SYSTEM. THE TRUCK IS BACK AT THE GARAGE FOR MORE REPAIRS. INTERNATIONAL IS NOT WORKING WITH US AT ALL. THE TELL US IT IS OUR PROBLEM. I FOUND YOUR INFORMATION STATING YOUR RECALL CAMPAIGN NUMBER 03V062000 AND ACTION NUMBER EA02034. I AM LOOKING FOR SOME WAY TO GET OUR MONEY BACK FOR THE REPAIRS. TOTAL TODATE IS $1948.00 NOT INCLUDING THE NEW ESTIMATED CHARGES OF $1600.00.
