ON CERTAIN TRUCKS, ONE OR BOTH REAR AXLE HOUSINGS MAY CONTAIN THINNER MATERIAL THAN WHAT IS NECESSARY FOR NORMAL VEHICLE OPERATION. OVER TIME, THIS THINNER MATERIAL MAY RESULT IN A FATIGUE FAILURE OF THE REAR AXLE HOUSING, POSSIBLY IN THE LOCATION OF THE BRAKE FLANGE.

THE FRONT AXLE BEARINGS FAILED ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS WHILE IN TRANSIT. THESE INCIDENTS BOTH TOOK PLACE WITHIN AN 8 MONTH PERIOD OF EACH OTHER. BOTH MECHANICS STATED THAT THE FRONT WHEEL WAS INADEQUATELY LUBRICATED AND THAT IS WHAT CAUSED THE WHEEL TO SEIZE UP AND BREAK OFF AT THE SPINDLE. THIS FLAW WAS LIKELY DEVELOPED DURING ASSEMBLY WHICH IS WHY THIS ISSUE IS SO COMMON. THIS ISSUE WILL CAUSE BEARING TO SEIZIE WHICH LEADS TO WHEEL SEPARATION. IN MY CASE BOTH OF THE FRONT WHEELS WERE SEPAR
